Following the launch of the A4 Signature Edition earlier this month, Audi India introduces another limited-edition model: the Audi Q7 Signature Edition. Like the A4, the Q7 Signature Edition features unique styling elements and exclusive add-ons. It is priced at INR 99.81 lakh, the same as the Technology variant, on which the limited-run derivative is based.
So, what’s unique about the Audi Q7 Signature Edition? As mentioned above, it distances itself from the standard Technology variant with additional stuff here and there. The list includes Audi rings entry LED lamps, dynamic wheel hub caps, a metallic key cover, stainless steel pedal covers, an espresso mobile coffee system, an Audi Dashcam with universal traffic recorder, and new alloy wheels. Moreover, the Audi Q7 Signature Edition is available in five colours: Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Glacier White, and Samurai Grey.
The remainder of the package remains unaltered. That is by no means a downside because the Audi Q7 is among the best-packaged models in its space. The oomph comes from a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 that produces 340 hp/550 Nm. The eight-speed automatic transmission and the Quattro all-wheel-drive system ensure little power goes to waste. The sprint from nothing to 100 kmph takes 5.6 seconds, and the top speed is 250 kmph.
The list of features includes a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, adaptive air suspension with seven drive modes, a digital instrument cluster, wireless mobile charging, four-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, Lane Departure Warning system, eight airbags, and hand-free boot lid opening.
The Audi Q7’s direct competitors in India are the Volvo XC90 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The options from BMW, the X5, and Mercedes-Benz, the GLE, are pricewise in the same space, but don’t offer the space for seven people.
