Defender is launching a unique global initiative that will provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants, taking on a new kind of competition. The new Defender Trophy is inspired by previous Trophy and Challenge competitions, but it will leave its legacy through three gruelling training rounds and a competition. Participation is open only to those who embrace the impossible with a passion for global conservation.
This new global initiative invites entries from more than 50 countries. Local qualifiers will begin this summer, with the national finals in spring of next year determining the finalists for the global final, hosted by Defender’s conservation partner, Tusk, in Africa in 2026.
Defender is seeking individuals who embody the values of the authentic British adventure brand to participate in the inaugural Defender Trophy. Eligibility requirements include being a resident of a participating country, being at least 23 years old, being able to swim 50 metres, possessing a valid driver’s licence, and being able to travel internationally, as well as being fluent in English.
The new Defender 110 Trophy Edition celebrates the brand’s return to international adventure challenge events. It offers a range of bespoke exploration accessories, making the vehicle the perfect companion for every expedition.
Available exclusively in Deep Sand Yellow and Keswick Green, the new Defender Trophy Edition features a contrasting gloss black finish on the bonnet, lower body, brake callipers, and rear tow hooks. Deep Sand Yellow is a contemporary interpretation of a colour synonymous with the Defender vehicles used in international Trophy events. Keswick Green celebrates the exploration of the countryside in the UK, Defender’s home country.
The Adventure-Ready specification features new 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels fitted with durable all-terrain tyres for confident grip on all surfaces, a darkened rear skid plate, gloss black wheel arch protectors, and a black front underbody guard.
Trophy decals on the hood and C-pillar graphics, along with a rear Trophy badge, distinguish the special edition model from the outside. Inside, illuminated Trophy treadplates enhance its identity, while Ebony Windsor leather seats add a touch of rugged luxury.
Winners will receive the opportunity of a lifetime to join a team on an epic mission to ensure the Defender Trophy leaves a positive and lasting legacy in the lives and places it encounters.
