Audi gets inventive in the US with the RS e-tron GT project_513/2

To restore interest in its electric sedan, the German brand is unveiling a limited series with a very original design

In 2022, the Audi e-tron GT sold 1,411 units in the USA. This is nothing compared to its blood sister, the Porsche Taycan, which has attracted almost six times as many customers. To relaunch its electric sedan, Audi is releasing a limited series with a very special look. Based on the RS e-tron GT, the project_513/2, as it is called, is largely inspired by the camouflage that dressed the model shortly before its release in 2021.

Originally black, the car is now covered with a grey vinyl that forms diagonal bars of varying thickness that are randomly arranged on the body. The doors are embellished with “e” signs referring to “e-tron”, while red additions add contrast to the lower section. The same applies to the dark 21-inch wheels with red callipers and ceramic discs.

A limited edition of 75 units

On board, the most noticeable change is the aluminium insert that reproduces the patterns on the bodywork. These same designs are also used as a background for the infotainment system. Finally, red appears on the air vents and the edges of the floor mats.

Underneath the original exterior, the technical package of the RS e-tron GT is fully integrated. An 84 kWh battery is combined with two electric motors that produce a combined output of 646 PS and 830 Nm of torque. The 0-100 time is achieved in 3.3 seconds and the range is 495 km. The Audi RS e-tron GT project_513/2 will go on sale in the USA at the beginning of 2024, with 75 units.
