Tennis magazine Racquet teamed up with Maurice de Mauriac, a Swiss watchmaker, to launch a limited-edition pink-dialled timepiece with ‘summery’ vibes and, all things considered, an attractive price tag. But we’ll talk about that in a second.
The 39 mm stainless steel case incorporates sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and a date magnifier, under which you’ll find the real star of the show, a pink dial with decorations reminiscent of a tennis court, applied indices and a rally-style rehaut. The movement is a 25-jewel Landeron 24.
It costs $1,950, which is not exactly pocket money but still relatively affordable considering this presents itself with all the elements you’d expect from a would-be cult classic. It is also limited to 40 pieces only, each of which is sold in a box with a custom pink tennis ball, and two strap options: a Milanese mesh bracelet and a two-piece Marine Nationale style fabric strap.
Fantastic looking watch! That tennis court layout is so nicely pulled off!
agreed, it’s subtle. You can hardly tell it’s a tennis-themed watch until you look at the caseback
Now that’s a dial that will stand out! Love the back of the watch and the packaging!
love everything about it. except the price. though I have to admit it is reasonably priced
