Following the global launch, the all-new GMC Acadia SUV has made its debut in the Middle East. Â The 3rd generation of GMC’s premium full-size crossover SUV brings fresh styling, new features and a new turbocharged 2.5-litre powertrain. Currently, it is available in only 2 different trims, the off-road focused AT4 and and the more luxurious Denali. Prices start at AED 186,000.
Exterior: Sophisticated styling; C-shaped headlamps & sleeker horizontal rear lamps; 18″ to 22″ wheels
The all-new GMC Acadia sports a bolder outlook with sculpted bodywork. It now has a C-shaped headlamp design that mimics the siblings like Terrain and Yukon, while much of its newness can also be attributed to the refreshed grille. At the rear, long horizontal lamps replace the predecessor’s C-shaped rear units and below is it a set of quad exhaust tips. The AT4 gets exclusive dark-accented exterior and 18-inch dark machined aluminium wheels with all-terrain tyres. Also, the front fascia is accented with signature AT4 red tow hooks and integrated skid plates. The Denali has distinctive exterior trim and design features, including unique chrome trim accents, a signature Denali chrome grille and available, all-new, 22-inch machined aluminum wheels — the largest ever on Acadia.
Interior: Larger dimensions, more space; 2-tone design
The Acadia’s longer wheelbase (+21cm) and height (+8cm) provide spacious 3-row seating and enhanced cargo capacity. Its 2-tone design now emphasizes straight lines. Inside, premium leather seats, ambient lighting, and an intuitive layout elevate the experience. The AT4 features exclusive Forest Storm interiors with Mahogany stitching and chrome-metallic trim, while the Denali boasts a panoramic sunroof, laser-etched wood décor, Galvano chrome accents, perforated leather seats, and optional heated second-row seats. The luggage space behind the 3rd row is rated at 649 litres which can be expanded to 1,609 litres with the 3rd row folded and up to 2,758 litres with both 2nd and 3rd row folded.
Technology: New 15: infotainment screen w/ Google built-in; Bose speakers
The all-new GMC Acadia caters to the tech-savvy with a 15-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Google built-in. OnStar integration enhances safety and connectivity, while the myGMC app enables remote control and vehicle location. Active noise cancellation and a Bose sound system with 12 speakers (16 speakers in the Denali) further elevate the experience.
Powertrain: Turbo 2.5L w/ 8-speed automatic & all wheel drive; AT4 gets 1″ lift, AT tyres, retuned suspension etc.
The Acadia is expected to offer a more versatile performance with a turbocharged 2.5-litre engine producing a max output of 328 hp, and 442 Nm of top torque, which replaces the naturally-aspirated 310 hp 3.6-litre engine. It is matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission and is claimed to deliver improved fuel efficiency. Equipped with GMC’s advanced AWD system, it’s built for city commutes and off-road adventures, with a towing capacity of 2,758 kg.
AT4 being off-road focused variant is endowed with exclusives such as a 1-inch taller ride height and a wider track, coupled with 18-inch AT tires enhancing stability, off-road-tuned suspension with hydraulic rebound control, Active Torque Control all-wheel-drive system with twin-clutch rear differentials for optimal traction and control in demanding scenarios. It also comes with selectable drive modes including Terrain mode and Hill Descent Control
Price & Warranty: Starts at AED 186,000; 3yr to 5 yr warranty
Whether there will be a base model is unclear at this point, but prices for the AT4 starts at AED 186,000 and AED 200,000 for the Denali. Al Ghandi Auto in the UAE has priced the AT4 at AED 206,000 which comes with a 3yr/100,000 warranty and the Denali at AED 227,000 which comes with a 5yr/100,000 service and warranty package.
