Among the list of routes confirmed for this summer earlier this year was airBaltic’s new and direct service between Tallinn, Estonia, and Reykjavik, Iceland. That connection has now gone live with two weekly services. Flights from the Estonian capital will depart on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while those from the Icelandic capital will depart on Thursdays and Sundays. Each sector’s flight time is approximately three and a half hours.
The seasonal Tallinn-Reykjavik route is airBaltic’s second direct service to Iceland, with the first being a nonstop service between its home hub, Riga, and Reykjavik. The new route will operate until the end of August 2025. However, airBaltic confirms that between late March 2025 and late October this year, it will operate 22 routes from Tallinn to various European destinations and beyond.
The Airbus A220-300 will serve passengers on the newly launched route and will have two cabin types: Business and Economy. airBaltic also offers complimentary high-speed SpaceX internet, making it the first in Europe to provide it.
In the past few weeks, airBaltic announced new routes and increased flight frequencies for the upcoming winter period, two new routes to the Albanian capital, and launched direct flights between Vilnius and Prague.
