Latvia’s flag carrier, airBaltic, announced its summer 2025 plans last month. One route listed was connecting Vilnius, Lithuania, with Prague, the Czech Republic. Well, that route went live on May 22, 2025, and will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Saturdays, until September 27, 2025.
The newly instated route is the second direct service to Prague that airBaltic has in its network. It complements the longstanding connection between Riga, the airline’s home hub, and the capital of the Czech Republic. In addition to flying to Prague, airBaltic will also operate direct flights from the Lithuanian capital to 16 destinations across Europe and beyond. Moreover, the carrier will continue to fly nonstop services from Palanga, Lithuania, to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Riga, Latvia.
As with all airBaltic-operated flights, the Vilnius-Prague route will be offered on an Airbus A220-300 with a two-class layout: Business and Economy. Those travelling in the former section get a full-service flying experience, including priority check-in and boarding, a seat in the front of the cabin along with a free seat for added privacy, a gourmet meal with a selection of beverages and faster deboarding upon arrival.
