Starting June 1, 2025, Air India Express will begin operating flights to its 55th destination. The airline has announced direct flights to Kathmandu, Nepal, from Bengaluru, Karnataka. Tickets for the newly announced route are available through all the carrier’s authorised channels, with introductory fares starting at INR 8,000.
The inaugural flight to Kathmandu is scheduled to depart from Karnataka’s capital at 05:05 and arrive in Nepal’s capital at 08:05. After an hour’s halt, the return flight takes to the skies at 09:05 and will land in Bengaluru at 12:25. The to-and-fro service from Air India Express will be a daily affair.
Nepal joins the airline’s growing network, which already has multiple international destinations, such as Dubai, Doha, Jeddah, Singapore, Bangkok, and Bahrain. With this new route, Air India Express passengers can find one-stop connections to Kathmandu via Bengaluru from 20 cities across India. Those landing in the “Silicon Valley of India”, where Air India Express operates over 450 weekly flights, can find direct connections to several domestic destinations. Up to 14 international destinations can be reached with a one-stop itinerary.
