What is Connoisseur Collective Dubai?
Ask collectors about the cars they love, and you’ll hear about craftsmanship and culture. Before long, they’ll describe a whole way of life. Connoisseur Collective Dubai, a new gathering at The Gate, DIFC, grows out of that love. Its organiser, Octanium Experiences, bills it as a flagship event for the collector car community. The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) is also a strategic partner. Over two days in December, the event will unite collectors, experts, industry leaders and fans from around the globe.
What will guests see at the event?
The cars, naturally, come first. A hand-picked line-up of historic and modern machines will take centre stage. Yet the gathering looks beyond the garage, taking in the wider world of collectables. It also aims to bring luxury brands, tastemakers and cultural institutions into the same space. Few collectors, after all, stop at cars.
Why is Dubai hosting a collector car event?
Many of the great collectors’ gatherings have traditionally called Europe and North America home. Dubai, however, is fast becoming a global hub for collectors, Octanium believes. It credits the city’s advanced infrastructure, easy links and lively luxury scene. The event wants to ride that momentum, giving collectors an international platform to meet and swap ideas. Octanium also plans to hold it every year. In time, the organiser hopes Connoisseur Collective Dubai becomes a fixture on the global collector car calendar.
Who is behind Connoisseur Collective Dubai?
Octanium Experiences, a UAE-based classic and collector car specialist, draws on a global network built over 25 years. For its CEO, Martin Halder, a great season deserves a proper finale. Connoisseur Collective Dubai fills that role, he says, by bringing collectors together as the international calendar winds down. He also points to Dubai’s growing clout in the automotive world. In his eyes, the event will give collectors, experts and luxury brands one place to share their passion.
When and where does it take place?
Mark your diary for 3 and 4 December 2026. The first edition will take place at The Gate in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). There, business, art, fine dining and luxury retail already rub shoulders. According to the event’s website, day one runs from 2 pm to 11 pm. Day two then opens earlier, from 11 am to 11 pm.
On 3 December, The Gate will also host the finish of the fifth 1000 MIGLIA Experience UAE, a separate rally. Up to 120 crews will end their 1,000-mile drive across the UAE at the venue.
