2027 Ducati Panigale V4 Debuts With 218hp, Improved Handling And MotoGP-Inspired Electronics

Ducati has unveiled the 2027 Panigale V4 with 218hp, a revised chassis, updated braking electronics and improved track focused upgrades.

Ducati has unveiled the 2027 Panigale V4, bringing updates to its engine, chassis and electronics aimed at improving track performance. According to Ducati, the 2027 Panigale V4 has lapped the Vallelunga circuit 0.4 seconds quicker than the previous model. Suggesting the new upgrades are not just a specification upgrade to refresh the model but results in a significant performance improvement in real time.

For the 2027 model year, the manufacturer from Borgo Panigale has also introduced new customisation options for the Panigale V4 S through its Factory Made Programme.

What engine does the 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 use?

The 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 continues to use the 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, now producing 218hp at 13,500rpm and 120.6Nm of torque at 11,000rpm. The power output represents an increase of 2hp over the previous iteration.

Ducati engineers have also revised the exhaust system for improved airflow and final gearing, with a 17/42 ratio replacing the previous 16/41 setup. The rev limiter has been raised to 15,000rpm in second through fifth gears. According to Ducati, these updates are directly responsible for the improved lap times at Vallelunga Circuit.

What chassis and braking updates does the 2027 Panigale V4 get?

The 2027 Panigale V4 continues to be built around the aluminium alloy frame, and the suspension duties are handled by a fully adjustable 43mm Showa BPF front fork and Sachs rear monoshock on the standard model, while the V4 S gets Öhlins electronic suspension with Smart EC 3.0. Both versions use an aluminium Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm.

Braking hardware consists of twin 330mm discs with Brembo Hypure monobloc callipers at the front and a 245mm rear disc, supported by cornering ABS and updated electronic braking systems.

For 2027, Ducati has introduced a few revisions at the front of the frame aimed at reducing lateral stiffness by 12%, which should improve front-tyre feedback at high lean angles and help riders maintain better control through corners.

What electronic aids does the new Panigale V4 offer?

The 2027 Panigale V4 keeps its six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU)-based electronics package, which supports several rider aids such as Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Slide Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Power Launch, and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0.

Ducati has also introduced a few new sets of electronic features, such as the new Dynamic Engine Braking and Race Brake Control systems. These systems are designed to improve the stability and control of the brakes under heavy deceleration.

What features does the 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 get?

The 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 features a 6.9-inch full-TFT display that provides riders access to riding information and control over the motorcycle’s electronic systems. The motorcycle offers riding modes: Race A, Race B, Sport, Road and Wet.

What customisation options are available for the Panigale V4 S?

For 2027, the Panigale V4 S joins Ducati’s Factory Made programme, allowing customers to configure their motorcycles with factory-installed colours, liveries and approved accessories.

The programme offers V4 S customers 11 colour options to choose from, including five colours from Automobili Lamborghini’s Ad Personam programme. Customers can also choose between Performance and Corse liveries, alongside optional components such as the Front Brake PRO and PRO+ packages, an STM dry clutch and adjustable footpegs.
