What is Prana by Atzaró’s new Misool itinerary?
Prana by Atzaró has announced a new 11-day itinerary through Misool, the southern jewel of Indonesia’s Raja Ampat. The route carries guests into one of the most biologically diverse corners of the planet. Prana by Atzaró is the world’s largest phinisi yacht, so the journey pairs serious exploration with genuine comfort.
The voyage begins in Sorong. From there, the yacht heads south into the emerald archipelagos of Misool. Over eleven days, it reveals hidden lagoons, prehistoric caves, remote islands and pristine coral reefs. Throughout, the experience blends adventure with wellness, refined dining and personalised service.

Where is Raja Ampat, and why does it matter?
Raja Ampat sits off the north-western tip of New Guinea, in Indonesia’s West Papua province. More than 1,500 jungle-clad islands rise from bright cerulean water. Towering limestone pinnacles, hidden lagoons and white-sand beaches give the region an almost prehistoric, Jurassic look.
Its name means “Four Kings”. According to local legend, four mysterious eggs hatched into the rulers of the region’s four main islands: Waigeo, Salawati, Batanta and Misool. That story still shapes the identity of the archipelago today.
The area matters to science as much as to travellers. Marine scientists recognise Raja Ampat as the global epicentre of marine biodiversity. Its reefs support more than 1,600 species of reef fish and over 600 species of hard and soft coral, roughly three-quarters of all known coral species on Earth. In addition, the nutrient-rich seas draw manta rays, reef sharks and turtles, as well as at least 16 species of whale and dolphin recorded throughout the year.

What can divers see on the Prana by Atzaró itinerary?
The itinerary works for divers and non-divers alike. Divers can descend into legendary sites across the region. Magic Mountain, for instance, draws both oceanic and reef manta rays to a single cleaning station. Beyond that lie the vibrant pinnacles of Daram, the colourful reefs around Boo Island, the protected sanctuary of Fiabacet and the dramatic walls and sea-fan gardens of Wayilbatan.
Encounters below the surface prove just as rich. Guests may meet schools of barracuda and snapper, bumphead parrotfish, pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefish, nudibranchs, reef sharks and octopus. Moreover, season permitting, mobula rays gather in spectacular numbers, feeding among shimmering schools of silversides.

What can non-divers do on the voyage?
Plenty happens above the water too. Each day brings the chance to kayak through limestone lagoons or paddleboard across mirror-like bays. Furthermore, guests can snorkel vibrant coral gardens, swim in clear jungle inlets and explore deserted islands reachable only by yacht.
The journey also reveals the region’s natural and cultural heritage. Guests can enter the Keramat Caves and study hand paintings believed to be over 5,000 years old. From there, a hike leads to viewpoints over Misool’s maze of emerald islands. Moreover, the itinerary includes visits to the magical Jellyfish Lake, where thousands of harmless golden jellyfish drift through sheltered turquoise water.
