Nammos Resort Montenegro: A luxurious new Adriatic escape

• Nammos Hotels & Resorts and Smokva Bay will develop Nammos Resort Montenegro, an integrated luxury lifestyle destination on the Budva Riviera. • The resort will hold 117 keys in total, made up of 47 hotel suites, 61 branded residences and 9 branded villas, alongside dining, retail and wellness. • A Nammos Restaurant pop-up runs at Sveti Stefan through the 2026 season, while the resort itself opens in 2029.

Nammos Hotels & Resorts and Smokva Bay have announced a partnership. Together they will create Nammos Resort Montenegro, a fully integrated luxury lifestyle destination on Montenegro’s Budva Riviera. The project brings the Nammos name to the country for the first time. It also lands on a site that already ranks among Montenegro’s most ambitious new coastal developments.

Where is Nammos Resort Montenegro?

The resort will sit at Smokva Bay, roughly ten minutes from the island of Sveti Stefan. Smokva Bay holds a freehold site with 1.5 kilometres of west-facing Adriatic shoreline. Dramatic limestone mountains frame it, while the clear water of the Adriatic opens out in front. Because the bay sits apart from the busier stretches of coast, it keeps a rare sense of escape. Yet one of the country’s most recognisable landmarks stays within easy reach.

What will Nammos Resort Montenegro include?

The development will comprise 117 keys. That figure covers 47 hotel suites, 61 branded residences and 9 branded villas. Nammos will bring its full lifestyle offering to the site. So guests will find a resort, branded residences, signature dining, curated retail and wellness in one place.

Accommodation splits into Nammos Rooms and Nammos Suites. The rooms lean on natural stone and soft tonal palettes, pairing coastal heritage with contemporary Mediterranean style. The suites go further, with expansive living space overlooking Smokva Bay. Their interiors work through Adriatic blues, soft greens, cool stone, brass accents and warm timber.

What will the architecture look like?

Mediterranean and Cycladic traditions shape the design. Sculpted forms, natural materials and soft textures carry through the buildings. The line between inside and outside stays deliberately loose. The resort settles into the coastline instead of competing with it. Above all, it still reads unmistakably as Nammos.

What dining options will the resort offer?

The culinary side stretches well past the Nammos Restaurant itself. Alongside the signature beachfront venue, guests will find Nalu, an all-day concept built around fresh Mediterranean flavours. Ilios Lounge follows as a design-led spot for cocktails and unhurried socialising. A rooftop pool bar completes the line-up. It serves light bites, signature drinks and panoramic sunset views across the Adriatic. In-room dining rounds out the offering, so it carries through the day and into the evening.

What is Nammos Village?

Nammos Village sits at the heart of the development. It reworks the traditional Mediterranean village into a contemporary destination for discovery, art, shopping, and well-being. In short, it forms the site’s social core. It also opens the resort up to residents and visitors alike.

What amenities will guests get?

Nammos lists a spa, a kids club, watersports, excursions and a fitness centre among the on-site amenities. Swimming pools, private dining venues and beachfront facilities complete the picture. Smokva Bay also pushes guests outdoors. Scenic hiking and mountain biking trails thread through rugged Mediterranean terrain, while curated wellness and outdoor fitness experiences encourage movement and a closer connection with the landscape.

How can you buy a Nammos residence in Montenegro?

The brand groups the 61 residences and 9 villas as Nammos Residences Montenegro, a collection of 70 private homes. Each one blends Adriatic heritage with Greek-influenced architecture. Naturally, light and sea views drive the layouts. Nammos has not yet published prices or floor areas, so buyers must register their interest directly through the official sales channel.

Can you experience Nammos in Montenegro now?

Yes. Nammos Restaurant is welcoming guests throughout the 2026 season with a pop-up at Sveti Stefan. It looks straight out at the island. Guests get an early taste of the brand through al fresco dining and its signature beach experience. Of course, the views help, since the pop-up overlooks one of Montenegro’s most photographed stretches of coast.

When will Nammos Resort Montenegro open?

Nammos Resort Montenegro opens in 2029. Mereha Developments, the UAE-based company appointed to the project, will lead the planning and delivery of the destination. Nammos Hotels & Resorts itself forms part of ADMO Lifestyle Holding.

Petros Stathis, Chairman of Nammos, calls the partnership a new chapter for the group. He points to years of personal investment in Montenegro and to his belief in its potential as a luxury destination. Carolyn Turnbull, CEO of Nammos Hotels & Resorts, frames it as a milestone in the brand’s international growth. It brings the complete Nammos lifestyle to the Adriatic, rather than a single hotel.

Smokva Bay reads it the same way. Chairman Vadim Verhovski says the vision always centred on a destination of international significance, rooted in Montenegro’s own character. So the choice of a long-term partner mattered enormously. CEO Fredrik Jonsson sees the site as a rare chance to shape a truly integrated lifestyle destination on the Adriatic. Nammos supplies the global brand layer across hotel, residences, dining and retail. Together, the two groups are setting a clear benchmark for luxury hospitality along this coastline.
