Henry Jacques Pop-Up is a first; Introduces an exclusive perfume

• The Henry Jacques pop-up, named Maison Éphémère, opens at the Samaritaine department store in Paris. • The space runs from June to August 2026 and recreates the mood of the brand's Avenue Montaigne flagship. • A new limited-edition perfume, Les Yeux Rivés, launches exclusively at Samaritaine, with prices from EUR 1,480.

What is the Henry Jacques pop-up?

The Henry Jacques pop-up is called Maison Éphémère. It is the first of its kind for the house. Rather than a simple retail stand, the brand built a living space. Here, perfume, décor, art and craft sit side by side. As a result, the space feels like a smaller version of the Avenue Montaigne flagship. What’s more, it sits right in the heart of Samaritaine.

The house encourages visitors to slow down, explore and talk. On show, you will find Les Classiques, the precious Les Toupies and the rare Collection de l’Atelier. Accessories feature too. So, wearers can carry several scents at once. For example, HJ Voyage holds a small wardrobe of scents, while Clic-Clac lets you switch between them with ease.

Why did Henry Jacques choose Samaritaine?

The two houses share more than a Paris postcode. Both began with a couple, and both built a lasting legacy from that partnership. Marie-Louise and Ernest Cognacq Jaÿ founded Samaritaine. Yvette and Henry Cremona started Henry Jacques, and Anne-Lise Cremona and Christophe Tollemer now lead the house.

Henry Jacques began in the 1970s in the South of France, and it remains family-owned to this day. The house maintains its own laboratory and atelier and, more recently, has added its own rose harvest. Samaritaine, meanwhile, is an Art Nouveau and Art Deco landmark. It has blended retail, dining and a spa since the 1800s.

For CEO Anne-Lise Cremona, the real luxury in modern perfumery comes down to time. Fine raw materials, patient craft and unhurried conversation all take time. For Henry Jacques, that time is not a delay but the value itself.

What does Les Yeux Rivés smell like?

Les Yeux Rivés means “a captivated gaze”. The case draws directly on Samaritaine’s Art Deco patterns. The scent opens bright and clean, like a morning walk beside the Seine. First come bergamot and ginger. Then a soft drift of orange blossom follows.

Next, the heart settles into rose and iris. It feels powdery, elegant and unmistakably French. Finally, the base turns warmer still. Tonka melts into vanilla, patchouli adds depth, and the mood shifts to a slow afternoon on a café terrace.
