1,065hp Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster Revealed: The Fastest Lamborghini Roadster Yet

1,065hp, 0-200 in 6.8 seconds, and a top speed of 340km/h+ are the headlines. Only 15 of these mad machines will be made. Clearly, this isn’t any ordinary Lambo.

The folks in Sant’Agata clearly woke up and chose violence. Again. This is the new Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster, an ultra-exclusive “Few-Off” hypercar limited to just 15 units worldwide. It is also officially the most powerful open-top Lamborghini ever built. And yes, it still uses a naturally aspirated V12. Hurray!

Built as the roofless sibling to the Fenomeno Coupé that was unveiled last year, the Roadster combines a screaming 6.5-litre V12 with three electric motors for a combined output of 1,065hp. It results in a 0-100km/h time of 2.4 seconds, 0-200km/h in 6.8 seconds, and a top speed beyond 340km/h.

What Powers The Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster?

The Fenomeno Roadster uses Lamborghini’s most powerful production V12 ever. The naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 alone produces 823hp at 9,250rpm and 725Nm at 6,750rpm. That’s over 126hp per litre, making it the highest specific-output V12 the company has ever created. Obviously, that wasn’t enough. So, Lamborghini added three electric motors.

Two are mounted on the front axle, and one is placed above the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Together, they enable torque vectoring, regenerative braking, and even a fully electric driving mode. You get about 20km pure EV range courtesy of the 7kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

Is The Fenomeno Roadster Faster Than The Coupé?

Almost. The Roadster matches the Coupé’s 0-100 km/h time of 2.4 seconds but takes 6.8 seconds to hit 200 km/h, making it just a tenth slower than the hardtop version. Top speed on both is over 340 km/h.

That is deeply impressive considering this thing has no roof and still carries a hybrid system with three electric motors and a battery pack. Lamborghini says the Roadster maintains nearly identical rigidity and aerodynamic balance to the Coupé while adding only “a few kilograms” of weight.

Would you pick the Roadster over the Coupe?

Yes. Drop-top vibes all the way!

Nah, I want hard-top rigidity.

What Aerodynamic Tech Does The Fenomeno Roadster Come With?

Removing the roof from a 340km/h car usually creates aerodynamic nightmares. Lamborghini’s solution was to throw a PhD-level airflow obsession at it. The Fenomeno Roadster gets a completely redesigned aerodynamic package compared to the Coupé.

A new spoiler integrated into the windshield directs air over the cabin and pushes cooling airflow directly into the engine bay. Lamborghini says this setup keeps the V12 properly cooled even without the Coupé’s roof-mounted air scoop.

The rollover protection bars were also engineered to minimize turbulence and wind noise at high speeds. Instead of looking like chunky safety hoops, they are hidden beneath sleek carbon-fibre structures behind the seats, flowing into the signature Speedster humps.

At the rear, a massive diffuser, active rear wing, and heavily optimised underbody generate serious downforce. Lamborghini claims the Roadster achieves the same aerodynamic stability and balance as the Coupé.

Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster Design & Styling: Straight Off A Video Game

The Fenomeno Roadster looks exactly how a Lamborghini flagship should look: completely unhinged. Sharp creases, giant air intakes, exposed carbon fibre, Y-shaped graphics, hexagonal everything, and side windows that appear to have been designed by someone sketching fighter jets during a caffeine-fueled session.

The silhouette takes inspiration from the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, 1970s endurance racing prototypes, and even Lamborghini’s own Manifesto design concept. The motorsport references are especially evident at the rear, with the high-mounted hexagonal exhaust looking like it belongs on a prototype racer at Le Mans.

One particularly cool detail is the exposed engine bay. Lamborghini fitted a transparent engine cover framed by hexagonal air intakes, proudly putting the naturally aspirated V12 on display like a museum piece. With all the hybrids and EVs around in 2026, if you still have an NA V12, you’d better show it off.

Additional details:

  • Blu Cepheus body colour
  • Rosso Mars lower accents
  • Colour inspiration from the 1968 Miura Roadster
  • Red and blue also reference Bologna’s city colours

What’s The Cabin Of The Fenomeno Like?

The interior follows Lamborghini’s “Feel Like a Pilot” philosophy, meaning everything looks like it belongs in a fighter aircraft rather than a normal car. Carbon fibre dominates the cabin, joined by Corsatex upholstery from Dinamica and Lamborghini’s patented Carbon Skin material.

The sports seats feature aggressive bolstering and contrasting red stitching to keep occupants firmly planted during violent cornering. The cockpit layout revolves around three digital displays using hexagonal graphics, combined with haptic controls and aviation-inspired toggle switches. Even the air vents follow the signature hexagonal theme. At this point, Lamborghini probably dreams in hexagonal vision.

Multi-Technology Carbon Fibre Chassis

Underneath the dramatic bodywork lies one of the most advanced chassis setups Lamborghini has ever built. The Fenomeno Roadster uses a full carbon-fibre monofuselage structure derived from the Lamborghini Revuelto.

Lamborghini combines traditional carbon fibre construction with Forged Composite® technology and a patented mix of long and short fibres to maximise rigidity while keeping weight low. Despite losing the roof, Lamborghini claims the Roadster achieves stiffness levels very close to the Coupé.

Brakes, Suspension & Tyres

The Fenomeno Roadster gets manually adjustable racing dampers that allow owners to tweak ride height and suspension setup depending on whether they are attacking a racetrack or dealing with the ramp of a luxury hotel.

Stopping power comes from Lamborghini’s CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic brakes featuring a motorsport-derived structure and advanced cooling channels. Lamborghini says the system delivers stable braking performance even under extreme conditions. Bridgestone developed bespoke Potenza tyres specifically for the car:

  • 265/30 ZRF21 front tyres
  • 355/25 ZRF22 rear tyres
  • Lamborghini-specific tyre marking on sidewall
  • Optional semi-slick track-focused setup
  • Run-flat technology available

The tyres were developed using Bridgestone’s Virtual Tire Development technology, reducing development emissions and material use by up to 60 percent. Even Lamborghini hypercars now come with sustainability slides in the presentation deck.

The Return Of Lamborghini’s “Few-Off” Madness

The Fenomeno Roadster continues Lamborghini’s legendary “Few-Off” lineage of ultra-exclusive halo cars produced in microscopic numbers. That bloodline started with the Lamborghini Reventón Roadster in 2009 and continued through, with icons like the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, Lamborghini Centenario Roadster, and Lamborghini Sián Roadster.

Apart from being limited editions, these cars test new technologies, radical design ideas, and engineering solutions that eventually influence future Lamborghinis. The Fenomeno Roadster may only exist in 15 units, but its ideas will almost certainly shape the next generation of raging bulls.

And honestly, if this is what Lamborghini’s electrified future looks like, petrolheads can probably sleep a little easier tonight.
