Huawei unveils new Tablet, Smartphone, and Wearables in Bangkok

Huawei introduced eight consumer devices at its product launch in Bangkok on May 7, 2026. The release covers a tablet, a smartphone, and six smartwatches. Specifically, these products focus on health monitoring, AI-assisted productivity, and safety.

What did it announce in Bangkok?

The Chinese brand’s announcement included the HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max, HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Pro, and HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5. Furthermore, Huawei introduced the HUAWEI WATCH ULTIMATE DESIGN Spring Edition and the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition. What is the HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max?

The HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max is the primary tablet in this release. It measures 4.7 mm at its thinnest point and weighs 499 g. Notably, it is the first tablet to receive the TÜV Rheinland Ultra-thin Bending Resistance Certification, with bending resistance improved by 60 per cent. The metal body is available in Blue and Space Grey.

The 13.2-inch flexible OLED PaperMatte Display offers a 3000 × 2000 resolution, 1,600 nits of peak brightness, and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, nano-level etching reduces glare and improves clarity by 20 per cent. For productivity, the tablet runs three windows simultaneously via Live Multitasking. Meanwhile, the PC-level WPS Office includes AI tools for drafting and presentation generation.

Regarding power, a 10,400 mAh battery provides 14.5 hours of video playback and supports 40 W reverse charging. The device also features a six-speaker system that is 67 per cent louder than the previous model. The 50 MP rear camera improves colour accuracy by 120 per cent, and the Smart Antenna 2.0 boosts weak-network performance by 40 per cent.

How do the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Pro and FIT 5 compare?

The HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Pro and the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 are slim fitness watches. Both models use the brand’s TruSense system to monitor heart rate, SpO2, stress, and 12 emotional states. In addition, they feature a Mini-Workout mode with 30 animated movements. Both devices provide 10 days of battery life and charge fully in 60 minutes.

Specifically, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Pro includes a 1.92-inch flexible AMOLED display with a 1–60 Hz LTPO refresh rate and 3,000 nits of brightness. It features a titanium alloy bezel and 2.5D sapphire glass. This model supports tracking for golf, trail running, and free diving to 40 metres. It also includes 64 GB of storage and a Diabetes Risk Study feature. Conversely, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 serves as the standard model, providing the same core fitness tracking platform at a lower price point.

What is the HUAWEI WATCH ULTIMATE DESIGN Spring Edition?

The HUAWEI WATCH ULTIMATE DESIGN Spring Edition is a luxury wearable co-created with Francesca Amfitheatrof. The design follows the Fibonacci sequence and incorporates 99 hand-set natural diamonds along the strap. Furthermore, the crown features a central diamond with 18 facets. All stones are ethically sourced under the Kimberley Process.

The watch supports eSIM calling, NFC payments, and Emergency SOS. Additionally, a Health Glance feature produces an 11-metric health report. Regarding battery life, the device lasts up to seven days in Battery Saver mode.

What features does the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 offer?

The HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition targets performance runners. It uses an aerospace-grade titanium alloy case and weighs 34.5 g. Notably, it features an Intelligent Marathon Mode that generates personalised training plans and real-time pace charts.

The device uses a 3D floating antenna to increase GPS accuracy by 20 per cent over previous models. Furthermore, the battery provides 32 hours of use in outdoor GPS mode or 14 days in light use. Health monitoring includes ECG, sleep breathing awareness, and arrhythmia detection.

What are the specifications of the HUAWEI nova 15 Max?

The HUAWEI nova 15 Max features a 50 MP RYYB camera system that improves light intake. Alongside this, an AI Best Expression tool selects facial expressions for group photographs. The 6.84-inch OLED display features 4,000 nits of peak brightness and a 2,756 × 1,272 resolution.

Internally, an 8,500 mAh battery supports 48 hours of calling and 40 W fast charging. The device also supports reverse charging. Additionally, a programmable X Button on the side provides access to smart home controls or emergency calls. The phone is available in Blush Gold, Lake Cyan, and Golden Black.

How do the HUAWEI WATCH KIDS X1 Pro and X1 differ?

The HUAWEI WATCH KIDS X1 Pro features a detachable body that converts into a handheld camera. It includes a 110-degree ultra-wide 5 MP front camera and a 13 MP rear camera. Notably, the device offers 64 GB of storage and IPX9 water resistance.

Similarly, the HUAWEI WATCH KIDS X1 uses the same 1.82-inch AMOLED screen and rotatable design. However, it provides 32 GB of storage and uses a silicone strap instead of a metallic link strap. Both models use GNSS dual-band satellite and Wi-Fi for location tracking. Parents manage these devices through the HUAWEI FamCare app.
