What Is The Lamborghini Urus SE Tettonero Capsule?
Lamborghini Urus SE Tettonero Capsule is a new limited-edition version of Lamborghini’s plug-in hybrid Super SUV, unveiled at the 2026 Milano Design Week. Production is capped at just 630 units worldwide, making it very rare and exclusive.
The name “Tettonero” translates to “black roof,” which gives away the core design theme. This special edition adds a gloss-black upper body treatment while massively expanding personalization options inside and out.
Lamborghini uses the term “Capsule” for curated limited-run editions built around a specific design concept, colour theme, or lifestyle identity. Rather than creating a fully new model, a Capsule package allows the brand to reinterpret an existing car with exclusive styling, bespoke materials, and collectible appeal. Previous examples include the Graphite Capsule and Pearl Capsule for the Urus.
How Powerful Is The Urus SE Tettonero Capsule?
This is far more than a styling exercise. Beneath the bonnet sits Lamborghini’s latest plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor and a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Power is channelled through an eight-speed automatic gearbox, while the electrified setup also enables electric all-wheel-drive capability.
The combined result is a colossal 788hp and 950Nm, with peak shove arriving low in the rev range and staying there. That means instant response off the line, savage mid-range acceleration, and enough performance to make many dedicated sports cars feel like they’ve brought a knife to a gunfight.
Performance figures are mental for an SUV that weighs 2.5 tonnes:
- 0–100 km/h: 3.4 seconds
- 0–200 km/h: 11.2 seconds
- Top speed: 312 km/h
- Power-to-weight ratio: 3.13 kg/CV

Can The Urus SE Drive On Electric Power Alone?
Yes, and this is where the Urus SE becomes more interesting than the old V8-only model. The battery and motor allow the Tettonero Capsule to run in full EV mode for over 60 km. So yes, you can leave your driveway quietly instead of waking your entire neighbourhood with the bark of the V8.
What Makes The Tettonero Capsule Look Special?
The biggest visual cue is the Nero Shiny gloss-black upper section covering the roof, pillars, struts, rear spoiler profile, and exhaust tips. Buyers can then choose from six main body colours:
- Arancio Xanto
- Bianco Asopo
- Grigio Telesto
- Viola Pasifae
- Giallo Tenerife (new to Urus)
- Verde Mercurius (new to Urus)
There are also six brake caliper colours, and varying wheel sizes, in 21-inch, 22-inch, and 23-inch formats. Optional “63” graphics on the doors reference Lamborghini’s founding year: 1963. Not subtle at all, but befitting in every way.
What Is The Interior Of The New Lamborghini Urus Tettonero Like?
The cabin uses Nero Ade black as the base colour, then adds six contrast shades matched to exterior themes:
- Viola Acutus
- Bianco Leda
- Giallo Quercus
- Arancio Dryope
- Verde Viper
- Grigio Octans
You can also pick from 12 embroidery colour choices for seats, headrests, and trim stitching. The cabin is made of various materials, including Dinamica leather, Corsa-Tex microfiber, carbon-fibre dashboard trim, carbon-fibre logo plate, and optional carbon tunnel, cluster, and door inserts.
Is It Still Properly Fun To Drive?
Absolutely. Lamborghini has engineered the Urus SE Tettonero Capsule to behave like a performance machine first and an SUV second. It uses a centrally mounted electronically controlled torque splitter with an electro-hydraulically actuated multi-plate clutch, continuously varying power delivery between the front and rear axles depending on grip levels and driver inputs.
That system works alongside a new electronically controlled rear limited-slip differential, allowing sharper turn-in, stronger traction, and even what Lamborghini calls “oversteer on demand.” The Lamborghini Urus SE was already one of the wildest SUVs on sale. The Tettonero Capsule turns it into something even more dramatic, more exclusive, and more personalised.
