As a prelude to the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2026 event and the launch of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, Cadillac announced a special version of its sports model, the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series. This particular model emphasises exclusivity, motorsports-style design elements, and minor performance improvements over the regular CT5-V Blackwing.
How do the exterior and interior differ?
The Collector Series features an exterior and cabin with a “Midnight Stone Frost” design scheme and a monochromatic colour palette. The styling is heavily influenced by the brand’s involvement in Formula 1 racing, with Carbon Flash Metallic wheels, Harbour Grey brake callipers, and carbon fibre components highlighted with a silver stripe.
There is a lot of branding incorporated into the car. Formula 1 and “Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile” logos can be seen on the spoiler, door panels, rocker panels, and inside the car. There are also laser-etched parts, CNC-machined details, embroidered seat logos, and serialised badges on each of the 26 models.
How powerful is the Collector Series?
The car still has the supercharged V8 engine of the CT5-V Blackwing, albeit with an improved supercharger co-developed by GM Motorsports. Its power output stands at 685 BHP along with 913 Nm of torque, marking this as the most powerful Blackwing to date.
Transmissions will be limited to the 6-speed manual gearbox only. The Precision Package is available as standard on the vehicle, offering additional tuning, handling, and braking adjustments for enhanced track performance. Although the precise top speed has not been announced yet, it may be assumed to be similar to that of the CT5-V Blackwing base model, which tops out at 320+ km/h.
What impact did motorsport collaboration have on the development of the Collector Series?
In developing the Collector Series, there has been some cooperation with Formula 1 and the FIA, mainly focusing on branding. The impact is clearly visible in terms of the number of logos applied to the car and motorsport-inspired paint jobs; otherwise, it had no major influence.
Is it rare, and who can buy it?
Only 26 cars will be produced in total, and this number was selected in order to reflect the year in which Cadillac will debut in Formula 1 racing – 2026. Each car will be individually serialised and thus positioned as a collectible car model.
Due to its limited availability and manual transmission-only feature, the Collector Series will likely find interest mostly among collectors and fans of high-speed sedans used in motorsports.
Pricing, Availability, and When Will it be Available?
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series will go on sale in 2026, but availability will be limited to the USA and Canada only. Official prices have not been released by the manufacturer yet; however, given the base model’s starting price of around $95,000 USD, we can expect much higher prices for this collectible version.
