Audi isn’t waiting for a mid-cycle refresh to spice things up. The brand has injected a full cocktail of hardware and software upgrades into every hot-selling model. Think of it as a factory-approved Stage 2 tune, except this one comes with a warranty.
Driving Dynamics: Sharper & More Drift-Friendly
The new Dynamic Plus mode is the star of the show. In the S5 and S6 e-tron, this mode turns the calm, well-mannered Audi you know into something a lot more Nürburgring-ready. These two models also get a few other upgrades:
- S5: quattro sport differential + brake torque vectoring
- S6 e-tron: electric quattro + torque vectoring
- ESC: automatically clicks into Sport mode, encouraging controlled oversteer. Yup, that’s a more elegant way of saying drift mode.
The driver gets shift lights, a motorsport-style tachometer, and a brilliant new instrument cluster. This is easily the most fun Audi has allowed you to have without needing an RS badge or a track day waiver. And because efficiency still matters, PPE (Premium Platform Electric) EVs now regen all the way to a complete stop without touching the brake pedal.
Driver Assistance 2.0: Highway Wizardry & Smart City Driving
Audi’s advanced cruise assist gets smarter with driver-initiated lane changes. Tap the indicator on the highway, and the car glides over with precision. In the city, the car recognizes signs, reads and sticks to speed limits, detects stop signs, spots road bumps, and more.
Parking tech also gets upgrades with Reverse Assist, Maneuver Assist, and the party trick: Trained Parking. This feature allows it to memorize up to five parking paths and can autonomously repeat them.
Lighting: Audi Flexes Again
The new Audi A6 gains Digital Matrix LED headlights, with high-resolution adaptive projection, lane guidance light, ice warnings, pedestrian highlighting, and eight customizable DRL signatures. Rear OLED 2.0 lights also get more active signatures and animations.
Inside: Buttons Are Back & Tech Gets Smarter
Audi’s new steering wheel brings physical controls back, replacing the touch-only interface that became popular in recent years. The A6 also gets new contoured seats for better comfort and support. The refreshed UI, borrowed from the latest Q3, sharpens graphics, simplifies navigation, and lets you mirror smartphone functions across all displays, including the passenger screen.
AI, ChatGPT & A Smarter Cabin
The Audi Assistant now taps into AI and integrated ChatGPT to handle vague requests like:
“Take me to that Italian place overlooking the water.” It also manages calendar access, email reading/writing, and voice-controlled driver assist functions. Over time, it learns your habits and creates automatic routines like raising the suspension at that one annoying speed bump outside your building.
Audi has added a 4K HDR dashcam built into the mirror. It records locally, captures incident footage automatically, and displays everything right on the MMI screen. Experience Worlds introduce themed moods (Relaxing, Activating, Harmonizing), and Audi’s EVs now get Power Nap Mode for charging stops. Gamers also get Bluetooth controller support for titles like “Asphalt Legends,” plus wireless headphone integration and app-store-based expansion.
