NORQAIN has introduced the Independence Skeleton 40mm, a new smaller case size of their Independence collection. It is available in 2 versions – stainless steel and black DLC.

Dial
Open worked and skeletonised anthracite dial. Transparent main plate.
The hour and minute hands are diamond-cut, faceted, and black plated. Their tips are filled with white X1 Super-LumiNova.
The seconds hand is diamond-cut, flat, and black plated. The stainless steel version’s turquoise coloured tip, and the black DLC version’s orange coloured tip are both filled with white X1 Super-LumiNova.
The hour-markers are faceted, black plated and filled with white X1 Super-LumiNova.
Case
Stainless steel version: case is made from 316L stainless steel.
Black DLC version: case made from 316L stainless steel and coated with black DLC.
Case diameter: 40 mm. Thickness: 12.05 mm. Lug width: 20 mm. Lug-to-lug distance: 46.30 mm. Screw-down crown at 3 o’clock. Water resistant up to 100 metres.
Left side of the case features an engraved plate highlighting the brand’s name. Made from 316L stainless steel for the stainless steel version, and 316L stainless steel black DLC coated for the black DLC version.
Dial side features a flat sapphire crystal – scratch proof and coated with anti-reflective coating on both sides. Caseback features a flat scratch proof sapphire crystal.

The rubber straps feature a “Milanese” pattern and a re fitted to a pin buckle made from stainless steel.
Movement
Powered by NORQAIN calibre NB08S, a mechanical automatic skeleton movement. It drives the hours, minutes, and seconds. According to online sources, it is based on the Sellita SW200-1 and features hacking or stop seconds.
Jewels: 26. Frequency: 28,800 vph or 4 Hz. Power reserve: 41 hours.
Movement features a personalised NORQAIN automatic winding rotor and is COSC certified.
