Parmigiani Fleurier introduced the Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante Stainless Steel Verzasca at Watches and Wonders Geneva, held during April 1st – April 7th, 2025. It is a green dial version of this dual time watch which originally debuted in 2022.

Functions and Operation
Central hours and minutes indicating home time. Split GMT or dual time function indicating local time. For example, while travelling or if the wearer needs to know the local time in another time-zone.
Crown at 3 o’clock for setting the time. Pusher at 8 o’clock advances the GMT or dual time hour hand (local time) in 1-hour increments. When the dual time not required, pressing the “Back-home” pusher on the crown brings the dual time hour hand back together or “catches up” with the main hour hand (home time). Rattrapante means “catch up” in French, hence the name of the watch. The term rattrapante is used for complex split-seconds chronographs, such as those made by A. Lange & Söhne, Parmigiani Fleurier, Patek Philippe and others.
Dial
Verzasca green dial featuring a Grain d’Orge hand-guilloché finish.
The colour, “a distinctive and majestic shade, captures the pristine beauty of the crystal-clear waters of the idyllic Verzasca valley in Switzerland, a protected natural wonder where time appears to stand still.”
The hands are skeletonised and delta shaped. The home time hour and minute hands are made from 18K gold and rhodium plated. The dual or local time hour hand is made from 18K rose gold. The hand-applied hour-markers are made from 18K gold and rhodium plated.
Movement
Powered by PF051, a manufacture automatic movement with a 22K rose gold micro-rotor featuring a Grain d’Orge hand-guilloché finish. It drives the hours, minutes, and split GMT or dual time function. Diameter: 13 ¼ lignes or 30 mm. Thickness: 4.97 mm. Parts: 215. Jewels: 31. Frequency: 21,600 vph or 3 Hz. Power reserve: 48 hours. Movement finishing includes Côtes de Genève, perlage, and bevelled bridges.
Case and Bracelet
Case is made from stainless steel, polished and satin finished. Knurled bezel made from platinum 950. Diameter: 40 mm. Thickness: 10.70 mm. Crown diameter: 5.50 mm and featuring an 18K rose gold “Back-home” pusher. Dial side features an ARunic anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Caseback features a sapphire crystal. Water resistant up to 60 metres. Integrated bracelet made from stainless steel, polished and satin finished. It features a folding clasp made from stainless steel.
Our Thoughts
Parmigiani Fleurier is best defined by the term understated luxury. Their watches are for collectors who appreciate horology for horology’s sake, and not if you “want to flex.”
I was fortunate to handle the Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante Stainless Steel Verzasca in Geneva. It is a beautiful and philosophical interpretation of a dual time watch. A gorgeous minimalistic dial. Absence of both a date window and unnecessary text on the dial. A GMT or dual time hour hand only when you need it. An innovative and well finished movement. A case with an abundance of details paired with a well-crafted bracelet. (Some say among the best bracelets in the industry.) All this at a price that while expensive, is justified for a prestigious haute horology brand and an innovative and complex watch at this level.
