New Modern Solid Exteriors
Skoda embeds its new “Modern Solid” design philosophy in the new Kodiaq. It gets a new octagonal front grille with an optional horizontal light strip for an enhanced visual appeal, new C-shaped tail lights, squared-off wheel arches and an extended roof spoiler. Also on offer is a set of TOP LED Matrix headlights, an optional extra, which now deliver 15 per cent greater light output than the previous model.

Sustainable new trims
Skoda will offer a host of customisations on the new Kodiaq with three trim levels – Selection, Selection Plus and Sportline, splitting numerous interior features, exterior colour options and alloy wheel options which range between 18-inch to 20-inch sizes. Some level of personalisation extends to the interior with cognac leather upholstery tanned using discarded coffee beans available as an optional extra. The base Selection trim gets fabric upholstery for the seats and dashbaoard trim while the top-spec Sportline variant gets Sports seats with suede microfibre upholstery which extends to the dashboard as well. Fitment of recycled textiles for the carpets and the headline along with eco-friendly leather upholstery should keep the polar bear activists happy as well.

New Minimalist Interiors
The interior gets a major revamp with the centre console featuring Skoda’s new Smart Dials multi-function rotary knobs which allows access to multiple customisable settings including media volume, drive mode settings and even map zoom. A new 13-inch infotainment screen takes center stage on the dashboard for the top trim while a 10-inch digital driver information system keeps vital driver data in easy view.
More Luggage room than ever
Enhanced practicality appears to have taken priority in the new Skoda Kodiaq as the gear selector now sits on the steering column to free up centre console space, two wireless chargers featuring a cooling function upfront from the Skoda Phone Box and a sleek upper glove box is on offer for additional passenger storage space. The new Kodiaq is bigger than ever, offering more cabin space for seven occupants, the boot is capable of accommodating 845 litres worth of luggage with the third row of seats folded. This figure extends to 2,035 litres if the middle passenger row is folded down as well.

Engine Options
Skoda has brought two powertrain options to the Middle East for the new Kodiaq – a 150hp 1.4TSI driving the front wheels and a 190hp 2.0 TSI with all-wheel-drive as standard. Both engines get paired to a DSG gearbox with the Dynamic Chassis Control, a Kodiaq-first, allowing the driver to tailor the car’s handling characteristics based on different driving conditions.
Skoda in the Middle East
Skoda representatives vowed to open as many as eight new showrooms throughout the Middle East. Abu Dhabi and Dubai are prime locations where Skoda looks to open new dealerships. Additionally, brand new models like the new Octavia RS and the all-new Superb are set to debut in the Middle East in 2025 for Skoda to boast an expansive new product line-up for the region.
