De Bethune celebrates 22 years of time and innovation
The Heritage Collection Tour’s 13 exceptional watches celebrate the brand’s horological achievements and innovations since its founding in 2002. The exhibition will travel to Shanghai, Hong Kong and the United States.

De Bethune inaugurated the Heritage Collection Tour in Geneva during August 2024. The exhibition showcases 13 exceptional and historical timepieces of the brand, curated by Denis Flageollet, Co-Founder, Master Watchmaker, and Creative Talent at De Bethune.
After a successful response in Geneva, the Heritage Collection Tour will travel to:
Shanghai: September 30th – October 2nd, 2024.
Hong Kong: October 22nd to 25th, 2024.
United States: November 2024.
The Heritage Collection Tour is “a rare opportunity to witness De Bethune’s most important achievements and technical advancements, representing over two decades of pioneering work in 21st-century horology. The Heritage Collection showcases a remarkable blend of traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge innovation, emphasizing De Bethune’s relentless pursuit of chronometric precision and aesthetic perfection.”
Visitors to the Heritage Collection Tour will have the opportunity to see the 13 timepieces pictured below.
DB1
The DB1 is De Bethune’s first timepiece. It was launched in 2002. A monopusher chronograph, its style is inspired by the 1920’s. Its blue accents and hand-decorated guilloché paved the way for the brand’s aesthetic direction.
DB15
The DB15 Perpetual Calendar was Denis Flageollet first De Bethune calibre. It featured a perpetual calendar and a unique spherical moon phase display at 12 o’clock, the latter inspired by astronomical clocks. “The moon phase, displayed by a platinum and blued steel sphere against a starry sky, boasts remarkable accuracy, deviating only one day in 122 years. The curved blued steel hands glide over the sphere, also a signature De Bethune design. The DB15 marked a major technical milestone for De Bethune, blending tradition with innovation.”
DB28 Skybridge
The DB28 Skybridge “combines contemporary design featuring a lightweight titanium case.” Powered by De Bethune Calibre 2115, “it incorporates a silicon/palladium balance-wheel and a triple pare-chute system. Its moon phase display, accurate to within one day every 122 years, highlights the watch’s precision and technical prowess. The DB28 characterizes De Bethune’s blend of style, innovation, and watchmaking heritage.” It won the “Aiguille d’Or” at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2011.

Our Thoughts
De Bethune’s horological achievements and innovations are exceptional and second to none. They have created a strong design language, not easy to achieve. All this in a short time span of 22 years. They are an elite watchmaker, at the very top of the horological pyramid. Earlier this year, they unveiled the DB Kind of Grande Complication, a reversible double-sided timepiece, showcasing the brand’s technical and aesthetic expertise. It is quite literally a culmination of several of the 13 timepieces showcased at the Heritage Collection Tour.
Today, independent watchmaking is quite prolific. New “independents” are born every now and then, their timepieces exorbitantly priced, and not easy to ascertain how genuine or “in-house” they are. The Heritage Collection Tour helps De Bethune stand out from the “rest of the pack.” By showcasing these 13 timepieces, they will give enthusiasts and collectors a glimpse into their remarkable journey, and what is yet to come from them in the future.
