FIAT commences its global journey with the new 80s-inspired Grande Panda

It features unique pixel DRLs and stylised X-patterned wheels

2024 marks 125 successful years of FIAT since its inception and to commence writing the first pages of its global future, the brand announces the launch of the new Grande Panda. Inspired by the Panda of the 80s, the new Grande Panda will be the first model of the new global line-up based on a multi-energy platform suited for families in the urban environment.

Available in both hybrid and electric iterations, the new FIAT Grande Panda gets designed in Italy at the Centro Stile in Turin. With dimensions spreading 3.99-metres in length, the Grande Panda conforms to the B-segment vehicles with a seating capacity of five.

The front features a unique light signature: the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) turn into indicators and illuminate some of the cubes which appear as horizontal pixels arranged in a chessboard pattern. The silhouette gets brimmed with clean straight lines all across the car. Bold FIAT lettering gets an embossed effect on the rear profile of the car.

As a homage to the classic Panda 4×4, the Panda letters get printed in three-dimensional form in bas-relief on the doors. The 17″ diamond-cut alloy wheels feature a stylized X design to maintain the theme of 80s geometries combined with a futuristic style.

FIAT claims the Grande Panda is the first new product in the family and will be followed by the launch of a new vehicle every year until 2027. Europe, Middle East and Africa comprise the first markets within the global scenario to receive the new Grande Panda.
