It will not have escaped your attention that SUVs are in fashion. And in the lot, coupe SUVs are the most popular. While many brands have already tried their hand at this, this is not the case for Peugeot, which will soon be joining the party with the 408.
Based on the 308 hatchback, the newcomer will benefit from a higher ground clearance and a more muscular overall style. The sloping roofline will make the whole thing more dynamic. The teaser released by the brand gives us some interesting details.
Note that the bonnet will be long and flat and the grille will adopt body-coloured evolving bars. They will be oriented vertically and not horizontally as on the 308. The dashboard should be largely borrowed from the 308.
Under the bonnet, the 408 will offer petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains. An all-electric option cannot be ruled out at a later date. The new Peugeot 408 will be unveiled at the end of June.
