Audi India Is Now Accepting Bookings For The New Q3

It’s available in two variants – Premium Plus and Technology.

Trust me when I say this: people have been waiting, some quite desperately, for Audi India to introduce the all-new Q3. Well, the wait is almost over. Bookings for the compact SUV are officially open, with the minimum token amount set at INR 2 lakh. One could pay through Audi India’s official website or the ‘myAudi Connect’ application. Regarding the price reveal, that should happen in a few weeks, while deliveries will likely commence towards the end of the year.

Thankfully, Audi India hasn’t skimped on the information for now. The new-gen Q3 is up for grabs in two variants – Premium Plus and Technology. It doesn’t matter which one you settle for; you’ll get a 2.0-litre TFSI engine under the bonnet, producing 190hp/320Nm. Coupled to it will be a 7-speed DSG, which will use the Quattro all-wheel-drive system for propulsion. Audi claims a 0-100kmph sprint time of 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 222kmph.

Even if you settle for the Premium Plus derivative, the new Q3 will have bucket-loads of features. The list includes dual-zone automatic climate control, 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof, LED headlamps and taillamps, a start/stop system with regenerative braking, auto-dimming IRVM and cruise control. Picking the Technology variant will get you extra stuff, such as a 10-speaker 180-watt sound system, Audi phone box with wireless charging, Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, 30-colour ambient lighting and Comfort Key with a gesture-controlled tailgate.

Bucketed under the safety and assistance systems are features such as six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX anchorages for child booster seats, Hill Start Assist and Parking Aid Plus with a rear-view camera.

So, there you have it – all there is to know about the new Audi Q3, except for the price. Once launched, it will rival the likes of Volvo XC40, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Mini Countryman and the BMW X1.
