Bored? with the same old Classic 350 and Bullet 350 – Don’t worry, Royal Enfield’s got you covered – On November 23rd, Royal Enfield launched the all-new Goan Classic 350 – A bobber-esque-styled motorcycle based on the Classic 350.
Ever the masters of modern retro motorcycles – Royal Enfield has yet again managed to turn back time on their latest offering – the Goan Classic 350, a retro-styled bobber motorcycle – based on the new J platform, which is shared by all the 350 models from the Royal Enfield stable.
Harbouring a very distinctive styling compared to its 350 siblings – the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 certainly stands apart amongst the plethora of 350 models, with its teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a chopped exhaust arrangement, and curved fenders – not to mention the chopper-esque raised ape hanger type handlebars, single floating seat and the tubeless wired spoke wheels with white-walled tyres acts as an immediate giveaway for the Goan Classic 350.
To match the eccentric architecture of the Goan Classic 350 – Royal Enfield has offered a set of funkier colour options to match the vibe – namely Trip Teal, Purple Haze, Shack Rack and Rave Red.
On the features front – the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 gets a rounded LED headlamp and adjustable levers. The instrument cluster is borrowed from the classic 350, a blend of old-school fixed gauge clusters with a small digital gauge that offers the necessary information, such as trip meter, speedometer, gear position indicator and digital navigation.
Mechanically the Goan Classic 350 is identical to the Classic 350 – incorporating the same 348cc J series engine – producing 20 hp and 25 nm of torque. The Goan Classic 350 sits on the double cradle frame, suspended by a telescopic front fork and a twin shock absorber at the rear – But there have been some tweaks around the rear suspension to accommodate a different swingarm. Braking duties are done by the Bybre Disc brakes at the front and the rear with dual-channel ABS.
The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 has been launched in India at a price point of INR 2.4 lakhs. The Goan Classic 350 is set to rival the likes of Jawa 42 and Jawa Perak. Knowing the frenzy of the Royal Enfield models it would come as no surprise if the Goan Classic 350 already has an upper hand over its rivals at least on the sales chart.
