2025 RAM 1500 Lineup Unveiled

The Ramcharger derivative comes with an “unlimited battery-electric range” claim.

A few days ago, RAM confirmed the end of the current-gen 1500 TRX with a celebratory limited-run ‘Final Edition’. While that may have left some fans with a broken heart, here’s some news to repair the damage. The 2025 RAM 1500 lineup has been revealed. A lot has changed, including the design, the powertrains, the variants and even the list of features. So, without further ado, let’s get cracking!

In terms of design, the 2025 RAM 1500 retains its unmistakable silhouette but with a sharper look. Its sleeker form factor aids aerodynamics, while modern-day touches such as LED headlamps, massive RAM badges and funky wheel designs help introduce freshness. The swanky-ness goes up the ladder as one climbs up the trim tree. The truck is available in nine colours, including Ivory White Tri-coat, Delmonico Red, River Rock and Hydro Blue.

Topping the trim levels is the Tungsten, the most “premium” of the lot. Other options include Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn and Limited. In quarter three of 2023, RAM will introduce the 1500 RHO variant – best suited for those off-roading enthusiasts.

For propulsion, the 2025 RAM 1500 lineup has three engine options. Two are differently tuned versions of an all-new 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six Hurricane engine – 420hp/636Nm and 540hp/706Nm. The third option is a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6. All engines come coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission by default.

Those who want the most frugal setup will probably consider the 2025 RAM 1500 Ramcharger derivative. It features the 3.6-litre V6 that powers an on-board generator, replenishing the 2battery. That is connected to two electric motors. The one on the front axle produces 335hp, whereas that on the rear is good for 319hp. With a total system output of 663hp/834Nm, the RAM 1500 Ramcharger can complete the 0-96kmph sprint in 4.4 seconds. For the record, the maximum output is available when both the electric motors work in tandem with the on-board generator that produces 174hp. RAM says since the internal combustion engine isn’t directly connected to the wheels and acts only as a range-extender, the target range is 1,110km. The 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger can also recharge its battery via a direct feed. It can take DC feeds of up to 145kW, adding 80km of range in 10 minutes.

The features list is impressive. Depending on the variant, it includes a power tailgate, a 23-speaker Klipsch sound system, a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch screen for the front passenger, connected-car tech via the Uconnect 5, dual wireless phone chargers and a digital internal rear-view mirror. The truck also has over 100 active and passive safety features, including Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, front parking sensors, six airbags as standard, Blind Spot Monitoring and adaptive cruise control.

RAM will announce details about pricing and availability closer to the lineup’s launch date.
