Maserati Calls It The MC20 Notte

Only 50 units will be made.

Just over three years ago, Maserati first unveiled the MC20 to the world. Fast forward to May 2022, and the two-seater low-slung coupe was joined by MC20 Cielo – the Spyder version. Now, the car is back to hog headlines with its first limited edition derivative. It’s called the Maserati MC20 Notte, and if you don’t know or can’t be bothered to find out what ‘Notte’ means, it’s Italian for ‘Night’. That gives a fair idea of what this limited-run version is about. Only 50 units will be made.

So, what’s special? The Maserati Fuoriserie team partnered with Andrea Bertolini – a former GT1 world champion with Maserati – to conceptualise the exterior. It turns from a glossy black to a magnetic matte hue in the dark, while all the logos and the brand’s signature are turned from silver to matte white gold. That same shade is used for accents on the 20-inch matte black rims, accompanied by black brake callipers.

Inside the cabin, the 6-way powered sports seats are finished in black/grey Alcantara with yellow stitching. Furthermore, the Alcantara-draped steering wheel features carbon fibre inserts. Rounding off the interior embellishments are the Trident logos on the headrests and, between them, a plaque with the ‘UNA DI 50’ (one of 50) signature. According to Klaus Busse, head of Maserati Design, “the limited edition MC20 is dedicated to super sportscar collectors and track enthusiasts.”

The MC20 Notte was showcased to Maserati Tridente members in an exclusive gathering. The limited-run derivative is now up for grabs for customers worldwide.
