RAM Unveils A Limited-Run 1500 TRX
Only 4,000 units will be made.
The current-gen RAM 1500 TRX will go out of production by the end of the year. Before that happens, however, the American automaker wants to conclude with a celebratory derivative. Enter the RAM 1500 TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 – Final Edition. It is being introduced as the 2024 model, production of which will be limited to 4,000 units worldwide.
So, what’s special here? The limited-run model offers more customisation options than ever while packing more equipment as standard. The ‘Final Edition’ is available in eight exterior colours, including three unique ones – Delmonico Red, Night Edge Blue and Harvest Sunrise. In addition, the bead-lock capable wheels are finished in Satin Titanium and, in the same shade, are the 6.2-litre hood badge and the bed decal.
Indoors, the specially conceived variant boasts Patina stitching on the seats and dashboard while flaunting an embroidered “TRX” seatback logo and a dedicated cluster splash screen. The truck also features 4×4 weave matte carbon fibre on the instrument panel, doors, console and steering wheel. Rounding off the specialness are door panel inserts in Triaxle-suede, a Satin Titanium TRX dashboard badge in front of the passenger and the build number on a centre console-mounted badge.
No points for guessing what’s under the bonnet. It’s a 6.2-litre supercharged Hemi V8 outputing 702hp and 881Nm of peak torque. With that grunt, the truck can hit 96kmph from a standstill in 4.5 seconds. Flat out, it can clock 190kmph.
As mentioned above, the Final Edition of the RAM 1500 TRX also packs a richer list of standard equipment. It includes a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a head-up display, a digital rear-view mirror, 8-way powered front seats, adaptive cruise control, Lane Keep Assist, pedestrian emergency braking, Blind Spot and Cross-Path detection and front and rear parking sensors.
RAM confirms that the 1500 TRX Final Edition will be up for grabs in Q4 2023.
