New Jaguar EV Enters The First Phase Of Global Testing

Remember Jaguar’s ‘Reimagine’ strategy from not that long ago? For those who can’t recall, here’s the gist: under the JLR house, which the British brand shares with other iconic nameplates from the Land Rover reign, Range Rover, Discovery and Defender, it wants to become a maker of pure-electric luxury vehicles starting 2025.

It seems things are on track, time-wise. That’s because the prototypes of Jaguar’s all-new EV have jointly entered the first global testing and development phase. As we know, this will involve pushing them on public roads in varied conditions and, of course, vehicle test sites worldwide.

If you’re wondering what’s hiding behind the camouflage, it’s an electric four-door GT (Grand Tourer). It’ll be underpinned by the brand’s all-new electric platform called Jaguar Electric Architecture. The prototypes have already clocked tens of thousands of miles of virtual and physical scrutiny.

Jaguar says it will unveil information about the next stage in the transformation journey at Miami Art Week on December 2, 2024. Its Design Vision Concept will also debut during the same event.

Bugatti unveils the 1800hp Tourbillon hypercar in the Middle East

While Bugatti is renowned for offering the highest degree of automotive excellence with its cars, the Middle East is renowned to house the world’s most discerning connoisseurs and enthusiasts. It was only fitting that Bugatti debuted its latest innovation – the Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar in Qatar at an exclusive event for the refined and passionate citizens of the region. Konstantinos Psarris, Regional Director, Middle East & Asia, Bugatti, said: “The Bugatti Tourbillon marks a new incomparable era of our marque, a testament to our commitment to crafting art that transcends time. Bringing Bugatti’s new era defining car to Doha allows us to share this vision with a country that deeply appreciates French luxury and matches our avant-garde spirit and cutting-edge innovations.”

The new Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar carries a bespoke 8.3-litre quad-turbocharged V16 engine at its heart, delivering an eye-watering 1800hp. This allows the Bugatti Tourbillon to pull the 0-100kph sprint in 2 seconds flat and go on to hit a top speed of 445kph, making it one of the fastest production cars in the world. The exterior of the Bugatti Tourbillon is inspired by the Type 57SC Atlantic and the Type 41 Royale – iconic Bugatti models of the past with modern aerodynamic implementations to a profile that drips of timeless elegance. The interior is crafted with hand-stitched leather upholstery, polished aluminium accents, and bespoke carbon fibre trims including an instrument cluster inspired by the movement of an automatic watch.
