Following the global premiere of the model at the Jeddah International Motor Show, MG Motor has announced the launch of the all-new MG RX9. The SUV is available in three trim levels: the entry-level STD 2.0 Turbo, the mid-level COM 2.0 Turbo, and the top-of-the-line LUX 2.0 Turbo. It is designed to meet the needs of modern families, travel enthusiasts, and drivers who desire comfort and capability in a 7-seater configuration.
Prices for the new MG RX9, which offers a combination of modern design, power, and versatility, start from AED 100,000, equivalent to $26,000 (excluding VAT). In addition, customers will benefit from a 6-year / 200,000 km manufacturer’s warranty.
The car’s frontal appearance is enhanced by a star-shaped front grille and an elegant headlight design featuring 245 laser-etched LEDs. The 21-inch wheels complete this dynamic front face.
The MG RX9 comes in six exterior colours inspired by nature, providing a choice to suit all drivers’ preferences.
Inside, the car boasts a luxurious and spacious cabin designed for comfort and practicality. This seven-seater SUV offers ample leg and headroom for passengers and drivers alike. The boot space, which can be expanded to accommodate 1,026 litres in the five-seat configuration, provides ample luggage space, making it ideal for long journeys.
The front dashboard features luxurious materials, including high-quality wood or aluminium trim and soft enamel switches, adding elegance. Features such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen, virtual instrument cluster, and clever hidden air conditioning controls ensure drivers have all the latest features. The cabin is available in black or two-tone beige and brown leather and maintains a sophisticated and functional design. Seating comfort is enhanced by an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat (with memory function in LUX grade) and a 4-way electrically adjustable passenger seat, providing personal comfort for everyone.
The MG RX9 has five adaptive driving modes – Auto, Eco, Sport, Snow, and Off-road – so drivers can easily adjust the settings to suit road conditions. Whether in the city, on the highway, or off-road, the MG RX9 delivers a smooth driving experience, enhanced by the advanced Intelligent Drive System and Intelligent All-Road Assistance System.
Equipped with Bosch’s third-generation Intelligent Front View Camera and fifth-generation millimetre-wave radar, the RX9 offers advanced driver assistance systems for all-around protection. The SUV also features high-definition 360-degree surround-view cameras, allowing drivers a complete view, whether parking or manoeuvring in tight spaces. Additionally, the MG RX9 also comes with Level 2 ‘MG Pilot’ ADAS in the LUX trim, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK), Intelligent High Beam Control (IHC), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Monitoring System (BLIS).
The RX9 has multiple trim options, with the STD 2.0 Turbo being the base trim. This trim offers fabric seats, a panoramic roof, and rear parking sensors.
