2024 Was The Best Ever Year For Porsche India

Never had the German brand sold as many new cars in the country.

India’s premier biennial automotive event, Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 (formerly Auto Expo), became the stage for a set of important announcements from Porsche India. Spearheading the way was how the brand performed in 2024. In short, the last calendar year was the best ever. For the first time, it retailed more than a thousand new vehicles in the country.

How many? 1,006, equating to a 10 per cent jump over the sales in 2023. New model introductions, including the new Porsche 911 and Panamera last year and the new Cayenne towards the end of 2023, helped the brand post its highest annual sales. The overall figure comprised 156 sales of two-door sports cars (Cayman, Boxster and 911), resulting in a 95 per cent increase. The SUVs, Macan and Cayenne, recorded 259 and 454 sales, respectively. That’s a joint growth of 71 per cent.

Following the sales figures came the next announcement, which had more numbers. At Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Porsche India debuted the all-new Macan BEV and the Taycan. The former is available in three derivatives—Macan, Macan 4S, and Macan Turbo—priced between INR 1.22 crore and INR 1.69 crore, while the Taycan sports saloon has two variants—Taycan 4S and Taycan Turbo—priced at INR 1.89 crore and INR 2.53 crore, respectively.

Lastly, the brand confirmed that it will open three new Porsche Centres in India, one each at Indore, Jaipur and Lucknow. Porsche India’s Brand Director, Manolito Vujicic, said:

This success is a testament to our exciting customer experiences, the introduction of new products, and our recent expansion over the past few years with additional Porsche Centres. With Pune and Hyderabad operations having commenced last year, we are committed to maintaining this momentum through 2025, with new Porsche Centres in Indore, Jaipur, and Lucknow planned to open by the end of the year.
