Volvo Cars and Al-Futtaim’s Trading Enterprises, the official representative of the Swedish car brand in the UAE, has introduced a new retail concept at The Galleria Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi. Dubbed ‘Volvo at The Galleria’, it is located at North Atrium, Ground Floor, and will run all days of the week. It is a pop-up type of outlet which exhibits the brand’s XC models and EVs, including the XC40 Recharge and its coupe-shaped sibling, the C40 Recharge. Those planning to check the facility out can schedule their visits online. Once there, they can even opt for test drives from the mall itself. And if all goes well, the visitors can book the desired model via a six-step e-commerce process at the kiosk. A ‘Product Specialist’ at the location will educate visitors about the vehicles and help them with the test-drive and booking processes.

Earlier this year, news popped up that with the Tata Group back as the owner, Air India intends to purchase over 500 aircraft to rejuvenate. Well, there’s confirmation from the Indian airline that it has placed an order to buy 250 aeroplanes from Airbus and 290 jets from Boeing. With the European brand, Air India has inked a deal to buy 140 A320neos, 70 A321neos, 34 A350-1000s and 6 A350-900s. The agreement also includes maintenance solutions from Airbus.
