Xiaomi has introduced its latest flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro, at a global launch event in Munich. The new series builds on the company’s focus on imaging, performance, and design, while adding new communication features and durability upgrades.
Imaging and Videography
The Xiaomi 15T Series continues its partnership with Leica, featuring advanced triple-camera systems. The 15T Pro features a main, ultra-wide, and Leica 5x Pro telephoto lens, whereas the 15T includes a main, ultra-wide, and telephoto lens. Both offer multiple focal lengths: the Pro from 15mm to 230mm and the base model from 15mm to 92mm.
The Pro features a 50MP Leica Summilux lens with an f/1.62 aperture, while the 15T has an f/1.7 aperture. The Pro introduces the Light Fusion 900 sensor, featuring a 13.5 EV dynamic range, a 5x optical zoom that extends to 20x Ultra Zoom, and both models include a 32MP front camera.
Xiaomi’s AISP 2.0 supports features like PortraitLM 2.0 and ColorLM 2.0, enhancing depth, tone, and colour fidelity. Master Portrait introduces new bokeh effects and adjustable aperture, while Leica Street Mode enables quick captures at classic focal lengths. For video, both models support 4K HDR10+, with the Pro model extending to 4K 120fps, 8K 30fps, and 10-bit Log for post-production.
Connectivity and Software
The series debuts Xiaomi Astral Communication, which includes Xiaomi Offline Communication, enabling direct voice calls between devices without cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity. The Pro supports ranges up to 1.9km, and the 15T reaches 1.3km. The system, supported by Surge T1S Tuner and Super Antenna Array, ensures stable connectivity across GPS, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular networks.
Both devices arrive with Xiaomi HyperOS 3, featuring a redesigned interface, faster app launches, and system-level intelligence via HyperAI, which improves cross-device connectivity and multitasking.
Display and Performance
The 15T Series features Xiaomi’s largest 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 3200 nits of brightness. The Pro has a 144Hz refresh rate and ultra‑narrow bezels with LIPO tech, while the 15T offers 120Hz and 3840Hz PWM dimming for comfort.
Powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity chips- 9400+ for Pro and 8400‑Ultra for 15 T- paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. A 5,500mAh battery supports fast charging: 90W wired and 50W wireless on Pro, and 67W wired on 15T. Xiaomi’s 3D IceLoop cooling maintains performance.
Design and Durability
The series has a unified glass fibre back and a flat, rounded frame for comfort. Both models utilise Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which doubles scratch resistance, and feature IP68 water and dust resistance. The Pro features a high-strength aluminium alloy frame for added protection.
Colour options include Black, Gray, and Mocha Gold for the Pro, and Black, Gray, and Rose Gold for the 15T. The Pro weighs 210g, while the 15T is lighter at 194g.
Price and Availability
The Xiaomi 15T Pro starts at AED 2299 and is available in three storage variants. The Xiaomi 15T starts at AED 1799 with two storage options. Both models will be available in select markets following the launch.
