Volkswagen is selling too much ID.Buzzes

The stunning return of the iconic minibus

The ID.Buzz is a success. After two decades of waiting, with many concepts announcing the return of the Combi, Volkswagen fans can finally order the object of their desires. The success was not long in coming as the German brand is simply overwhelmed by the demand. So much so that the target of 15,000 orders for this year is almost reached, even though we have not yet entered September!

The neo-retro electric minibus has already passed the 10,000 order mark. This is an incredible number when we are talking about a vehicle that has never been tested by customers and is not yet present in dealerships. Moreover, pre-orders are still not open in all the markets where the ID.Buzz will be launched. For example, it is still not possible to preorder the vehicle in France and the United Kingdom for the time being.

Volkswagen intends to step up the production rate from next year to cover the needs of the European market with a target of 60,000 units before increasing to more than 120,000 models produced each year. The ID.Buzz Cargo LCV version will then be added, along with a longer version of the ID.Buzz for the United States. As a reminder, the ID.Buzz is manufactured at the Volkswagen plant in Hanover, Germany.
