Vietnam Airlines Has Confirmed Its First Direct Service To Copenhagen

Scheduled to launch in December this year, the route will operate thrice weekly aboard a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

After announcing a new codeshare with Scandinavian Airlines earlier this week, Vietnam Airlines has announced the details of its first-ever direct flight to Copenhagen. The flag carrier of Vietnam will launch the new route on December 15, 2025, connecting the Danish capital with Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam Airlines will operate the newly announced route thrice weekly. Flights from Ho Chi Minh City will depart at 22:45 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, whereas the return service will start at 10:50 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will ferry passengers on both sectors.

Passengers flying on the inaugural flight from Copenhagen to Ho Chi Minh City (VN38) can book round-trip tickets starting at DKK 5,803 or EUR 754, including taxes and fees, by the end of August 2025. For flights scheduled between December 16, 2025, and March 31, 2026, the return-trip fares for Economy class start from DKK 6,403 or EUR 832, and those for Business Class start from DKK 22,134 or EUR 2,877, inclusive of taxes and fees. Those prices apply only to bookings made by September 2025.

Vietnam Airlines also offers discounts on add-on services for flights scheduled for the first three months. The list includes 30 per cent off on prepaid baggage, seat selection, and service class upgrades. The airline also offers free-of-charge tier upgrades, free membership cards, and bonus miles for LotusMiles members (travel class-dependent).
