UAE To Host Ferrari Racing Days
The event will run from February 2 to 5, 2023.
Ferrari fans across the United Arab Emirates (UAE), here’s a fabulous piece of news. Your favourite marque has announced the return of Ferrari Racing Days as its first event of the year to Abu Dhabi. It is set to run from February 2 to 5, 2023, covering multiple racing segments. The list includes Ferrari Challenge, F1 Clienti, XX Program, Club Competizioni GT, Club Challenge and Passione Ferrari.
So, what kind of cars do those racing categories allow? Let’s take the Ferrari Challenge, for example. Started in 1993, it is Ferrari’s one-make competition. This time around it will feature the brand’s 488 Challenge Evo cars. The final two rounds of the 2022 season of Ferrari Racing Days will take place.
The F1 Clienti and the XX Program are two of the most exclusive activities during the Ferrari Racing Days. In the former, F1 Championship cars used between the 1920s and the 1970s take part. The list includes one F300, one F2001, two F2007s, one F60, one F138 and one SF70H. The latter ropes in hypercars developed in-house by Ferrari. So, models such as the FXX, 599XX and the FXX-K Evo compete for the honours.
Another activity lined up is the Club Competizioni GT. It is a non-competitive category, where GT racing cars from the last 30 years take part. Five models will be seen in this activity, including the 488 GT3 and the 488 GT Modificata, both of which were unveiled in 2020.
And here’s what the event calendar looks like. On February 2, 2023, two test sessions of the Ferrari Challenge will be conducted. The following day is reserved for free practice sessions will be conducted, along with private practice sessions for F1 Clienti, XX Program, Club Competizioni GT and Club Challenge.
On February 4, 2023, the first qualifying of the Ferrari Challenge will take place. That will finalise the starting grid of the first race scheduled for the same afternoon. And on the last day, the second qualifying round of the Ferrari Challenge will be held, followed by the race later in the day along with Passione Ferrari.
