Indian Motorcycle giant TVS Motor has introduced the RTX 300 for Europe, an adventure motorcycle with A2 compliance and segment-rich electronic specifications.

What is the TVS RTX 300?

The TVS RTX 300 is a European-spec adventure motorcycle based on TVS’s newly developed RT-XD4 platform. The ADV motorcycle made its Indian debut last year, opening to a warm reception amongst fans and experts alike.

The Indian ADV is designed for riders seeking an approachable step into the touring and off-roading segment, with its easy-going ergonomics, lightweight design, and approachable power.

What engine powers the RTX 300?

The TVS  RTX 300 incorporates a new 299 cc, liquid‑cooled, single‑cylinder engine. The engine produces 35.5 hp at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The ADV motorcycle achieves a 0-62 mph sprint in 7.95 seconds, with a top speed of 90 mph.

What electronics does the RTX 300 have?

The TVS RTX 300 receives a fairly comprehensive electronics suite for its category. The ADV comes with

  • Traction control

  • Bosch dual‑channel ABS

  • Switchable ABS

  • Cruise control

  • 5‑inch TFT instrument console

  • TVS SmartXonnect connectivity

  • Map mirroring

The electronic throttle enables different riding modes and cruise control. The RTX 300 comes with four riding modes: Urban, Rain, Tour and Rally.

What are the suspension, wheel and brake specifications?

The TVS RTX 300 is built around a high-strength steel tubular trellis frame with a cast aluminium swingarm. The ADV rides on a 19‑inch front and 17‑inch rear wheel with suspension hardware comprising a 41 mm USD front fork and rear monoshock, each with 180 mm travel, ideal for tackling rough unpaved roads and relaxed, comfortable riding on long open roads.

The RTX 300 uses a 320 mm front disc with a fixed calliper and a 240 mm rear disc with a floating calliper, assisted by a Bosch dual‑channel ABS that can be switched off.

TVS will offer a dedicated adventure‑accessory range for the RTX 300, which includes:
