TVS Apache RTE for The All-new electric two-wheeler championships.
High Performance Electric Motor wrapped around a carbon fiber faring meant to go fast on racetracks -Apache RTE
On September 21, 2023 – TVS unveiled the Apache RTE an electric racing motorcycle to compete in India’s first-ever two-wheeler electric racing championship – it’s a TVS’ One Make Championship called (e-OMC- Electric One Make Championship), exclusively featuring Apache RTe specifically developed by TVS for this championship.
The TVS Racing e-OMC will make its debut on the fourth round of the Indian National Motorcycle Road Racing Championship on the 29th of September and so will The Apache RTE electric racer which will be ridden by eight participants who’ll compete for the first-ever race win in the history of the championship. This will make TVS Motor company the first Indian Motorcycle to foray into electric two-wheeler racing.
The TVS Apache RTE is powered by a mid-mounted liquid-cooled electric motor. While TVS hasn’t revealed the performance figures, TVS has shed some light on the battery pack’s high-power cells with advanced chemistry and a custom Battery Management System with race-specific algorithms.
This electric racer uses carbon fiber faring to improve the drag coefficient and rides on carbon fiber wheels wearing Pirelli Super Corsa tires – which are suspended by Ohlins suspension and 320mm Brembo brakes are used for stopping this carbon fiber-wrapped electric racer.

This new venture from TVS motors is sure to have a huge impact on the company’s road going products – as it has been a trend in company’s most recent products as it vertically integrates racing technology and road technology into their Road going Motorcycle and it shows as TVS’ performance motorcycles are one of the best handling and performing bikes one can buy- and there’s no doubt that the technology incorporated in the Apache RTE is going to trickle down towards the brands EV products and might actually add some character into the EV market.
