Tom Slingby’s Australian Team Wins the Dubai SailGP

Shores of Dubai saw thousands of fans experience an exciting race day in the SailGP with a dramatic finish

Nine teams racing against each other was an exhilarating experience for thousands of fans who attended the inaugural Dubai Sail Grand Prix. Tom Slingsby’s Australian SailGP team saw one of the most remarkable victories ever in SailGP by dramatically overtaking France and Great Britain right towards the end of the final race.

As Dubai Sail Grand Prix presented by P&O Marinas came to an end, Australia now leads the championship by nine points; New Zealand is in second place, and France is just one point behind. Great Britain saw a good result in Dubai, just two points out of the Grand Final. With four events left on the calendar, the top four teams have pulled away from the rest of the field.
