Three Chiron Units Honour L’Ébé Bugatti

The lifespan for Chiron and Chiron Sport is at an end in Europe. And although saying goodbye is never easy, especially when that’ll be remembered as one of the all-time greats, Bugatti wanted a proper sending-off. What better way to retire the breed in its home continent while paying homage to someone close to the founder – Ettore Bugatti. And that someone is L’Ébé Bugatti, Ettore and Barabara Bugatti’s eldest daughter.

Ettore was fond of his first child. He even named her in a way – L’Ébé – that had his initials (EB), and the daughter would not have to forgo the Bugatti surname even after marriage. And to celebrate that bond between the two, Bugatti decided to create Chiron and Chiron Sport specimens with L’Ébé’s love of Art Deco style.

The character lines on a Chiron are usually a shade of light blue, but on the Chiron L’Ébé, they are highlighted in gold. With Chiron’s bodywork in blue-tinted carbon, the gold-colour accents look great. The same paint is used for the “EB” badging, the horseshoe grille, the wheels and parts of the W16 engine cover. Even the retractable rear wing hides L’Ébé’s signature logo on the underside.

As you’d expect, the interiors complement the exterior of the quad-turbocharged hypercar. L’Ébé’s signature logo is on the treadplates and hand-stitched into the headrests. Then there’s the door panel, which is finished in “Silk” leather with “Lake Blue” accents on the driver’s side. For the passenger’s side, the colour scheme is reversed. And to top it all, both door panels boast motifs of the visual evolution of Bugatti’s iconic cars. It shows Grand Prix racers through to EB110, Veyron and Chiron.

Bugatti has made three Chiron L’Ébé editions. Two out of them – a Chiron L’Ébé and Chiron L’Ébé Sport – have already been delivered to their buyers. The third and final model will be with its owner by the end of the month.
