2025 is gearing up to be an eventful and impactful year for Skoda in the Middle East. After the successful launch of the Skoda Kodiaq in the UAE, Skoda has now launched its global best-selling sedan, the new facelifted Skoda Octavia in the Middle East. Skoda will offer the new Octavia in the UAE in four trim levels including the range-topping performance-centric Skoda Octavia RS. Prices for the new Skoda Octavia in the UAE range between AED 119,950 for the base Essence trim to AED 149,950 for the RS iteration.

The new Skoda Octavia facelift comprises a host of design updates, more recycled cabin materials and upholstery colour options, an extended standard equipment list and a bunch of optional equipment on offer. Lukas Honzak, Managing Director at Škoda Middle East, said: “Our Middle East customers have high expectations for the Octavia sedan, and this update elevates our best-selling model to new heights. A completely overhauled infotainment system, new safety assistance systems, generous use of sustainable materials and more powerful headlights make the refreshed Octavia an even better fit for everyday explorers who like a good mix of size, functionality and fun. This latest iteration is expected to impress and excite both drivers and their companions, reaffirming its position as our most beloved car.”

While the silhouette and exterior design remain predominantly similar to the current generation, the facelifted Skoda Octavia boasts revised front and rear bumpers and an updated Škoda grille. LED Matrix beam headlights are also a new addition, and so are the revised LED rear lights with animated indicators and a selection of alloy wheel designs with wheel sizes ranging between 16 inches in base trim and 19 inches in RS trim.

The cabin retains its minimalist and modern design but the upholstery used for seats, dashboard and door panels now gets draped with sustainably sourced materials. A 10-inch digital instrument cluster now comes standard on select variants, featuring enhanced functionality and updated graphics. A head-up display also remains available as an optional extra. The big change comes at the centre of the dashboard as the facelifted Octavia receives its biggest ever infotainment screen yet – a 13-inch unit with an enhanced version of the voice assistant Laura.

The new Skoda Octavia facelift can be had with two engine options – a base 1.4 TSI petrol engine and the RS exclusive 2.0 TSI. The former produces 150hp while being paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and the latter produces 265hp with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Both trims send power to the front wheels only but the performance-oriented RS benefits from bigger and better-ventilated brakes and an electronically-controlled Limited Slip Differential for sharper handling. The Octavia RS facelift does the 0-100kph sprint in 6.4 seconds.

On the safety front, the Skoda Octavia RS features enhanced driver monitoring systems such as new Attention and Drowsiness Assist monitors, Manoeuvre Braking Assist for added safety during parking and up to seven airbags.
