The Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed made its debut at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It is a high-performance open-top two-seater with no roof or windscreen; its launch represents an immortalisation of the rich heritage of the world of motorsports and provides speed enthusiasts with an unforgettable driving experience.
The car’s design embodies the designs of legendary racing cars and creates exceptional lines for a car that will remain in the memory. The exclusive series of small sports cars is limited to only 250 vehicles.
The car’s design is inspired by the Mercedes-AMG ONE, with its wide air intake, AMG lettering, and the dark chrome Mercedes star on the soft nose. In addition, the vehicle features an aerodynamically optimised bonnet.
The new car has 21-inch light-alloy wheels with carbon-fibre covers on the front and rear axles.
The safety system in the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed consists of a strong steel tubular support to protect both occupants. The most prominent feature of the new car is the HALO system, which has been added instead of the traditional A-pillar. The HALO is indirectly illuminated at the bottom by thin LED strips.
The car also features two air intakes behind the seats, which bear the AMG logo and are reminiscent of legendary racing cars. The PureSpeed also has an exclusive touch in the Silver Arrow style in dark magno silver.
Inside is a traditional clock with hands specially designed by IWC Schaffhausen. It is prominently placed in the middle of the dashboard. The clock base has a sophisticated design that makes it appear floating.
The car is equipped with a 4.0-litre AMG V8 biturbo engine with a maximum power of 585 hp and a maximum torque of 800 Nm, giving it a mighty push and outstanding performance while driving.
The PureSpeed also has a weather cover to protect the car from harsh weather conditions when parking.
