The New High-Performance Bentayga Speed Delivers More Power From A Smaller Engine

The new Bentley Bentayga Speed is powered by a new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 650 hp and 850 Nm of torque. This new engine is capable of accelerating Bentley’s flagship SUV from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds. These figures significantly exceed the Bentayga V8 S (4.4 seconds) and the 3.9-second time achieved by the previous W12-engined Bentayga Speed. Its top Speed is 310 kmph. The Bentayga Speed is equipped as standard with a sports exhaust system, delivering a rich, powerful engine note that complements the spirited character of the high-powered V8 engine and enhances a more profound sense of driver engagement.

The new Bentayga Speed features three drive modes. Comfort and Bentley modes remain unchanged in calibration compared to other Bentayga models, while Sport mode has been significantly enhanced with a 15% increase in suspension stiffness.

The Bentayga Speed now features four-wheel steering. At low and medium speeds, the rear wheels steer in the opposite direction to the front wheels, aiding quick changes of direction and reducing the turning circle. At higher speeds, the rear wheels steer in the same direction as the front wheels.

Exteriorly, the new Bentayga Speed features a bright chrome Speed badge on the leading edge of the front doors and 22-inch Speed wheels in either dark or silver (the latter is a complimentary option). The unique Speed headlights feature dark inserts and bezels, while the taillights are grey, also with dark bezels. For the first time in Bentley history, the 23-inch Speed wheel is optional when carbon ceramic brakes are specified. These wheels are available in satin grey, black, or gloss-polished black. Painted callipers in seven attractive colours are also available, in addition to the standard brake callipers and when carbon ceramic brakes are specified.

Another option exclusive to the Bentayga Speed is the Speed Black roof, available in either gloss or satin finish, depending on the chosen body colour.

Inside, standard features include the Speed driver information display, Speed badges on the passenger fascia and door sill plates, and Speed badges embroidered on the tops of the seats. The familiar Bentley bull’s-eye vents, organ bumpers, and centre vents can be finished in a dark shade in addition to the standard chrome. The seat shoulder panels, door inserts, and rear quarter panel (on four-seat models) feature the new Precision Diamond design. For the upholstery, the Speed colour split features a darker secondary hide as the predominant colour, relieved by flashes of the main hide colour on seat outers, door, and the instrument panel side cheeks.
