Stellantis reports a positive Q1 2023 in revenues and a 22% increase in BEV sales

Stellantis, one of the world’s leading automakers, has reported a 14% year-over-year increase in Q1 2023 net revenues, with all segments contributing positively. With brands such as Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Maserati, Ram, and Dodge under its umbrella, the automaker has further reported an increase of 22% year-over-year in global battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales. Nine additional BEVs are slated for a 2023 launch, taking the total tally of Stellantis’ BEV products to 47 by the end of 2024. The automaker is on an electrification-offensive plan for the North American market, as it recently unveiled the all-electric Ram 1500 REV at the New York International Auto Show. The Jeep Avenger, the brand’s first-ever BEV, was named “2023 European Car of the Year” and bagged the “World’s Best Family SUV in 2023” title. Shipments across the globe have also reported an increase, thereby gradually negating the semiconductor chip and other supply chain constraints caused during the 2020 Pandemic and bringing the production and shipment levels back to the pre-covid stage.
