Seiko collabs with Honda Super Cub

Seiko 5 Sports is known for their amazing collaborations in the past. This time around, it’s no different.

Seiko 5 Sports in the past has collaborated with some of the biggest anime and gaming titles such as Street Fighter, One Piece, Dragon Ball Z and Ultraman. Seiko’s latest collaboration with the Honda Super Cub motorbike incorporates the retro design aesthetic of the Super Cub, the most-produced motorbike of all time.

The watch comes in 2 variants: green/beige and black/gray. Being a limited edition, the green/beige will have 6,000 pieces produced, while the black/gray version will get 5,000 units.

The highlight of the watch is its striped dial inspired by the Super Cub’s front design. The 12 o’clock indicator takes the form of the headlight, which is a nice subtle nod to the motorbike’s design. Completing the design is the signature Super Cub logo above the 6 o’clock mark encasing all of it in a 42.5mm case. This Seiko 5 Sports also gets a bezel that resembles a speed indicator, a fuel gauge crown and a date function, and a striped NATO strap that reads ‘Super Cub.’ The trusted Seiko 4R36 automatic movement powers the watch.

Ranging in price from $381-$426, the watch is available for preorder now and will be available in November.
