Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge ‘Desert Sunset’ Revealed

When it comes to ultra-luxury cars, few names carry the weight that Rolls-Royce does. Adding to its allure is the ability to create bespoke cars like this — the Desert Sunset. Commissioned through the Private Office Dubai for a long-standing Qatari client, this one-off masterpiece captures the colors of the Doha skyline at dusk, turning it into a unique and distinguished vehicle.

The Desert Sunset’s presence begins with its two-tone Bespoke exterior finish. The main body is finished in a warm Bronze, inspired by the desert sands of the Arabian Peninsula, where red and white tones combine into golden-brown shades. The upper body shines in Sunrise Sparkle, reflecting the last rays of the sun on Doha’s skyline.

Artistry Inside The Cabin

Inside, the sunset theme continues throughout the cabin. The primary leather is finished in a shade named Sunrise, with Casden Tan and Havana accents for depth. Seat details, stitching, and embroidered ‘RR’ monograms match the exterior, while designs in the leather mimic clouds above Goodwood.

Open-pore Mimosa Negra veneer trims adorn the dashboard and doors, and Dark Spice carpets with Casden Tan lambswool mats complete the interior. Every little detail is custom-made to the buyer’s taste. How’s that for a bespoke creation?

The Black Badge Performance

This is no ordinary Cullinan. The Black Badge Series II represents the darker, more performance-oriented side of Rolls-Royce. Throttle response is sharper, steering weightier, and the exhaust note deeper (slightly) —all while keeping the effortless ride quality the brand is famous for.

Powering it is the well-known 6.75-litre Twin-Turbo V12 engine that produces 592hp and 900Nm. An 8-speed automatic gearbox drives all four wheels, and this massive luxury SUV accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds and then onto an electronically-limited top speed of 241km/h.

Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke Creations In The Middle East

The Middle East remains Rolls-Royce’s most important market for Bespoke creations, and the Desert Sunset is a perfect example. As James Crichton, Regional Director, Middle East & Africa, notes, “This expressive Black Badge Cullinan highlights how our Bespoke team can capture the spirit of special places and cultures.” For Ayman Berjawi, General Manager of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha, it is “a celebration of Qatar’s natural beauty and his client’s discerning taste.”
