Meet the Rolls-Royce Ghost Prism. It’s a unique project undertaken to serve an anticipated demand from the brand’s clientele in the fashion and design sectors. Per the British marque’s Director of Design, Anders Warming:

At Rolls-Royce, we are led by the tastes and desires of our clients, who, in many cases, determine global trends in fashion and the wider luxury sector. Ghost Prism is an extension of the personal aesthetic of a specific subset of this group of tastemakers. The motor car’s innovative use of dark, neutral tones with subtle impulses of colour places it firmly within the contemporary luxury landscape.

The Rolls-Royce Ghost Prism isn’t hard to understand. Most of the four-door saloon’s real estate is finished in a dark hue, while subtle bright accents drive home the real punch. The sample photographed dons the brand’s Gunmetal grey colour applied through a 10-step process, including four layers of paint and 16 hours of polishing by hand. Complementing that shade are the grille and rear-lid elements finished in high-gloss Burnout (smoked black-grey). Each of these metal pieces is also hand-prepared. Then, a four-coat paint is applied, followed by a rigorous polishing process.

Buyers have a choice of four colours that introduce the contrasting touch. There are Phoenix Red, Turchese, Mandarin and Forge Yellow. The chosen one is applied to the brake callipers, coachline, and lower bumper inserts on the outside. The same shade is carried indoors, including the 1,040 colours ‘stars’ in the Bespoke Starlight Headliner. What the rest of the interior theme looks like is a decision that also rests with the buyers. However, early examples of the Rolls-Royce Ghost Prism featured a “light and vibrant palette”.

Yes, the Rolls-Royce Ghost Prizm is a limited-run offering. Just 120 examples will be available for buyers globally. Why 120? That’s because 2024 marks the brand’s 120th anniversary.
