RM Sotheby’s Miami auction recorded a new world-record price for a Ferrari F50 auction sale

RM Sotheby’s hosted a one-night-only destination event for car collectors in Miami this past Saturday and saw one of the more pristine examples of the Ferrari F50, a 1980s hypercar, go under the hammer for $5,395,000. It bagged the huge number courtesy of a 625-mile odometer reading. Other exotic cars sold in the auction comprised a 2,188-mile 2019 Bugatti Chiron Sport for $3,305,000 and a 1990 Ferrari F40, previously owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, for $3,250,000. A 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC AMG 6.0 'Wide-Body' from the Young Timers collection was brought for $720,000, nearly three times its high estimate. The Miami auction registered a total sale worth $40,261,160, with bidders hailing from 27 countries.
