The Range Rover Sport SV broke records at Yas Marina Circuit as the fastest SUV and four-door production vehicle to lap the famous circuit, achieving an incredible time of 2:20.405. Emirati racing driver Saeed Al Mehairi completed the record-breaking run, pushing the Range Rover to its limits.
Powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid engine producing 635 hp and 750 Nm of torque, it is the most powerful engine ever fitted to a Range Rover. With 750 Nm of torque, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds.
As for tyres, the SV features Michelin Pilot Sport 4-season tyres, specifically designed to improve high-speed handling and everyday usability. The optional Michelin Pilot Sport S5 Summer tyre, designed to enhance performance in warmer climates, will soon be available to customers in the Middle East and North Africa.
The revolutionary 6D Dynamics suspension system contributed to this record-breaking performance, eliminating the need for conventional anti-roll bars. This system controls pitch and roll, keeping the vehicle nearly level during hard acceleration, aggressive cornering, and braking, which allows the Range Rover Sport SV to accelerate through corners more quickly while maintaining its precision.
The SV features a Brembo Carbon Ceramic braking system with 440mm front discs, complemented by exclusive eight-piston Brembo Octyma front callipers, available in yellow, red, carbon bronze, and black. This system delivers immediate and precise pedal response, allowing drivers to push their limits confidently.
A carbon fibre hood, quad tailpipe finishers, and sculpted bodywork enhance its dynamic capability, while exclusive colour options ensure a powerful presence.
Inside, the SV Performance seats offer exceptional support and comfort, along with the industry-first Body and Soul Seat, which delivers haptic vibrations synchronised with music, providing an immersive sensory experience that enhances well-being and driving pleasure.
